Why keep score at all? Why don't all PAL teams just have scrimmages every week? Every team can have the same amount of possessions, the same amount of shots on goal, and if one team is still ahead we can give the other team a few extra possessions so the can even the score. PAL's goal is for every team to have a .500 record, where is that written? It's certainly a sign of the times we're living in ... everyone gets a trophy, everyone needs to be equal, level the playing field, fair and balanced, grade on a curve, effort counts more than results and on and on... The PC crowd is going to be the death of this country.


I'm not defending the lack of publishing a schedule, but if the league is designed more as a developmental recreational league vs. a competitive travel league, then they would probably want to provide structured games without strict divisional standings. It's more like intramural across towns, since each town can't really field enough players for multiple teams.

If you have players that need more competition or want to play with a team based on tryouts, then there are likely other leagues better suited to your needs and you should seek those out.
