For example, Duke and UVA make it clear that they recruit heavily from their camps. I am not saying that every school does and your club director can investigate this for you, but don't let a good opportunity to reciprocate interest pass you by. Even on a top team, you run the risk of your daughter not being in and/or playing poorly when her dream school is briefly watching next summer.


While I agree if a school your daughter is interested in reaches out to your club director and tells them they have an interest in your daughter you would be doing your daughter a disservice by not going .Saying that Duke and UVA make it known that they recruit heavily from their camps is just not correct in my experiences with either one and have seen them at way too many summer tournaments to believe that to be true. Camps give both your daughter and the coach a much better chance to see if they are a good fit for one another.
