Noticing a lot of teams are having supplemental tryouts. Is the talent pool that bad?
I’m gonna say that is probably one of the major reasons. The other reason is that tryouts range all over the place... some started in June, some haven’t even happened yet. Players are probably taking whatever offers they get as a safety net until they are on the team they really want, then back out of the other offers, so teams now have to backfill for empty spots.
