If you carefully read the Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip website.It specifically says it is a secondary way to be invited.
So it seems the prior process still exists of coaches recommendations.
That makes sense in that not all players that show up at these pay$525 to play camps are the best of the age group from all over the country. Jake always had top tier top level talent in a small group setting that college coaches could attend and recruit from. This new process only dilutes the talent pool with those that can afford to pay to attend regardless of talent level. |
