lets take this one at a time

CSH - IMHO the best team on LI last year
Beat - Syosset - South Side
lost -

Lynbrook
Beat - Oceanside - Hewlett - Baldwin
lost to - Farmingdale - Carey - Long Beach - South Side

Locust Valley
Beat - Mac Arthur
Lost to - Port Washington

No Shore
Beat - NHP - MacArthur - Mepham - Baldwin - Port Washington

so outside of CSH - your other three semi-finalist has one signature win vs. A's and B's last year it was No Shore beating PW.

LV outplayed PW and should have won that game - LV had a million shots that missed the net (and PW's G was great, but so was LV's). Not sure if that was a testament to LV or a knock on PW, but losing to them in a very close game that LV should of won seems significant based upon how many on BOTC revere them from last season. Beyond all of that, you are very limited in how how many non-Conference games you can schedule.

Are you suggesting that HS lacrosse take on some sort of electoral college approach to results - don't count the final score for who wins but rather take an accumulations of various stats ?

well yes, PW did score more goals but LV won the key stat of a million shots that missed the cage (that equals approx. 347 shots missed the cage per second) so BOTC projects LV the winner.

You score more goals you win, this is 'Merica where those with the most goals win and those with the fewest goals post on BOTC about how they lost but were still the better team.
