a lot of the YJ "REAL BLUE" players can be mixed with any of the other teams in the age group and the real blue would not miss a beat because on most of the top teams there are 5-6 kids who carry the team and the rest are interchangeable parts. also some of the kids on the top teams don't even try out, they are placed there because of an older sibling who was a very good player. even if the girl can't hold a stick. That is unfortunate for some kids but it will all work out in the end
not true of YJ but probably true of other long island travel clubs. For example the top blue teams 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 are loaded with talent
