Further to the discussion, Newsday has dedicated the first FIVE PAGES of their Main Edition in Sunday's paper to this topic including several articles and some heart stopping statistics. It is hard to read the details in these pieces and not pause to think about the introduction of helmets of some type (either soft shell or hard shell) into the girls game. Now that the Varsity season is closing and the club/elite tournament season is gearing up, this is a serious topic that should be examined by all clubs, parents, players, and organizations.
