it is an obsession of so many people because it's flat out unfair to the kids who are age appropriate. there is a simple solution, go by calendar birth year. once you get into middle school and high school you have to deal with playing against older kids, but because at a young age kids develop so much year-to-year it's really stupid to have kids of varying ages play against each other. lacrosse is the only sport that does it this way, all other organized youth sports do it by age. |
