Garden City 17, Northport 7

Halftime score was 11-5 and the game was not that close. The Garden City attack positions were just dominant compared to anything else that we've seen in High School this season.

Northport runs much of their offense through one player (Shannon Gilroy). This is very typical of a High School varsity lacrosse team and works most of the time until you meet a nationally ranked team like Garden City. Garden City can score through three or four different positions and moves the ball well - check the scoring/assist table and you'll get that picture.

Scoring:
Garden City -- Barbara Sullivan, 5 goals/1 assists; Alexandra Bruno, 3 goals/4 assists; Catherine Dickinson, 3 goals; Mikaela Rix, 3 goals/1 assists; Caroline Tarzian, 1 goals; Catherine McTiernan, 1 goals; Jenna Fuchs, 1 goals/1 assists.
Northport -- Shannon Gilroy, 4 goals; Megan Marinelli, 1 goals; Paige Bonomi, 1 goals; Cortney Fortunato, 1 goals.

Goalies:
Garden City -- Kelly Weis, 7 saves.
Northport -- Meaghan Kollmeier, 5 saves.
