Coaches there today and watching 2025's Stop. It’s obvious this event is a dud.

Poor choice of dates right after the 4th of July. Even college coaches want a little down time. Not to mention the first day of the event (July 5) fell during a Dead Period so no coaches could attend that day regardless. Girls didn't play games on the 5th so they weren't missing anything anyway...

Coaches were definitely focused on 24's but my 2025 had SportsRecruits looks from coaches there during her games so they must have been paying some attention to 2025s? It was a fun event but not the best use of funds for someone on a budget.

what were they there for then Check in and each team had a two hour practice. I thought it was a well run event, quality competition, and the girls seemed to enjoy getting to know each other.

Not an event we would do next summer. Coaches allowed girls to play selfish ball. Rosters too large. Coaching varied a ton by team. Our daughter's team got real coaching. even put in some plays and D schemes. Other coaches did nothing buy manage subs. Only complaint was that the rosters weren't balanced by position at all. Our team had 7 defenders while some others had less than 4 and had to rotate middies through.

Same happened at UA 150. Many teams had 12 midfielders and despite emails saying you would play the position you signed up for, many middies were playing defense. Lotsa parents were upset.

Juniors Open was a disgusting money grab. You fell for it. Next time donate the money to a charity if you’re going to throw it away anyways.

There was some, but def. Not the amount that was said would be there. That’s too bad. Was great competition and would be a good event if coaches came. Maybe just dragged out a bit. Needs a little tweaking with scheduling, make more affordable and get coaches there. Who cares about the media stuff?! Need coaches there watching!

Thought it was well run, but if the coaches aren't coming to watch then it won't last long.

steps could not have been happy based on what happened last year YJA YJB and YJC have always been interchangeable. Was funny last year hearing the kids cheer the girl taking the draw. Wasn’t a very common name although they have two of them on the A team. B and C had the same two as well. 😁

B and C YJ teams are interchangeable with the A????? Name one year where that’s the case?
25 Jannelli is very good but still 6-8 goal difference with Spallina. 26 big difference 24 is 8-10 difference 23 huge separation between A and others.
No knock on B and C teams at YJ, just can’t justify them being in the same tier

the new player last year came from another club Oh ok. Didn’t know that. Do yourself a favor and read last year's thread, much more UN-moderated and some really good material. The whole four horsemen saga was fantastic, and turned out to be complete nonsense....

My daughter and her friend watched the championship game on the ride back last night after getting bounced. They weren't shocked that the reclassed Steps 16 year old was allowed to play in the nationals. They said she posted her game winner on Instagram so it wasn't like they were hiding it.

Rules for US Lacrosse Nationals: All players competing in the 15U division (2025) must have been born on or after 9/1/2006.:
I believe girl in question was born in September of 2006. No bending of the rules.

I believe girl in question was born in September of 2006. No bending of the rules. I have heard different stories of her age. Doesn’t matter. Still should change the rule to be more like all other sports. Your born in 2006 you play with kids born in 2006. Would stop the ridiculous reclassing.
