Most of the clubs will tell you that they offer goalie coaching but the reality is that most never live up to that promise unfortunately. You might get 1 practice with a goalie coach per season when they said it would be "monthly" or whatnot. Smoke & Mirrors. I think all programs should be 1/2 price for goalies and then parents can use that extra savings to get private coaching for their goalie.

Maryland United has goalie coaches at every prax. At least 3 sometimes 4. They work with all goalies for about 30 min at start of prax. They are excellent.

All three clubs have history of great goalie play at college level. M&D speaks for itself, you got current MD goalie and future MD goalie (SW) then MDU with multiple starting D1 goalies in top-15 of save % this year and last year's saves leader in all of D1.

Skywalkers has a goalie coaches for each practice- goalies do an hour with that coach and then scrimmage with the team.

Actually only the 4th goalie coach is a college girl. The other 3 have been here a long time. Full time coaches.

What is needed is Goalie counselors. Look at the trainwreck that happened last year with heros white where the poor kid cracked under the pressure.
it isn't going to be easier when the expectations are higher, competition is better and better goalies tryout for the position.

I suggest you look back at the start of this blog and see how many players were directly and indirectly called out and named. If you want things to change, maybe work with admin to set rules but until then, this will keep happening.

A & B teams. Heard they added the Yellow teams, originally only the Red team was available. May still all compete against same teams though.

No, red is the top team and then comes yellow.

Yellow is definitely the lesser team but they got the better goalie

Look At the rosters. They are not equal. Kids are calling to get off yellow to join red at all age groups.

How would you know that?

Maybe your kid... just don't accept the opportunity - its pretty simple... to much focus on the wrong things... if your kid is good enough they will get the same out of it... red or yellow.. and that is the only fact anyone needs to be concerned with.. parents worry too much about their own ego's instead of just letting the girls play lacrosse... a lot of talent on both teams at all age groups... get over it already

Please stop, there is definitely an A team and a B team, will still be lots of fun, but the red team is the better team.

Tomorrows game Integrity vs MND will be a fun blowout to watch, it will definitely be one sided

Not salty at all. Glad the red team played you close. Wish they would have won. I was talking about the 2 goals you scored against black. That game wasn’t even close.

From an outside perspective, I watched both M&D games vs Integrity from the shade while our team was on breaks. I am not affiliated with either of these teams. I will say that M&D Black looked significantly better than Integrity, probably could have won by double digits. As someone noted, they did score their only 2 goals on 8m shots. Black looked better in all 3 areas of the game, imo. They are a really good team. I thought that M&D Red played hard and hung in, but the game never looked in doubt for Integrity. I thought Red showed they can play with A teams though, hopefully they will get more opportunities this summer to play against better competition. Good luck to all the teams this summer!

Red will go 4-0 this weekend at LLL. Would love to see them go up against SW Blue or NEMS.
