LBC goalie has a sibling that attends Spalding. Legacy families usually have top priority. Why would the parents want her to go anywhere else? The drive from the shore is already a long drive, driving to one high schools seems logic IMO.

This just proves the point that you need to play for Integrity to make varsity and see the field at Spalding. You already said that admissions shouldn’t be a problem since she is a “legacy”. Otherwise Coach Mom wouldn’t be moving her mid year from a team she was the coach of for years to a team that will practice “a long drive from the shore” and that already has 2 goalies on the roster who participated in official tryouts, committed and paid months ago, and played all Fall season with. Busy weekend at Goals, top teams had little competition- who won it all?

Next year should be all club. The high division is awful! Liberty , Towson , Catonsville playing in a jv / 8th grade division. Losing games due to weather with no make up’s. Referees are awful. They don’t know the rules and either stand in one spot or lean against the wall the whole game. Most of the big schools have already pulled out and more will follow. $2200 for that? As for who won , check the website soon as winning team gets their picture posted there. M&D black won the B division and GCS won the A.

I think it should be no club, or at least no club coaches. Make it more about having fun. In regards to the standings, what teams in the B Division missed out on the playoffs due to forfeits/weather? It sure looks like the best 8 made the playoffs.

I do not have a problem with club teams playing. You know what you are getting with most winter leagues. Not everyone plays and some girls miss games for other winter sports. Winter leagues are to keep your team chemistry together as much as possible in the off season. Most of these girls do not attend the same high school. If you don't like the format don't play.

Club teams ? It is a high school league!!! It was always a high school team league. No club teams played in it until Chris Robsinson let the M&D 8th grade teams play. Then every other club jumped on bandwagon

If you want a winter club league play coppermine indoor. But the BWI league has always been for high school teams

The last game of the season between SW (5th place team) and Integrity(4th place team). Game was canceled due to weather, no makeup. Not presuming SW wins the game but IF they did they would have made the playoffs over Integrity with the same record and head to head. Just providing an example.

Because many HS coaches have pulled out of the league because of the terrible officiating which helped lead to the large number of injuries that occurred during games. CR is going to want to make money so as HS teams stop going he's going to replace them with club teams. HS coaches are much better off using their allotted hours to have weekly practice in fall and winter than playing in that league which is exactly what some of them have done.

The 8th grade teams would be the underdogs. Why do you have a problem with them playing? I'm sure they would rather play in another league but maybe this was the only option for them.

My daughter just told me two of her teammates are putting together film .. in 8th grade?!? What is the point of that?! I have two daughters playing college lax. No one cares what you do in 8th grade.Parents... save your money. There will be so many more money grabs along the way.

Why does it bother you? Heros Green dad has been filming his daughter from a ladder since she was 9 or 10. Props to him for his dedication. Maybe they actually watch the film to see what she can do better and improve? You come off as jealous that your daughter has no highlights worth filming. That being said, I agree it is at least a year too early to matter at all for recruiting.

I especially liked the M&D parents trolling the sidelines and yelling at the scorekeeper that she missed a goal. It is indoor lacrosse -most of the girls don't even show for games. Club teams had all the little coaches gathering and the HS teams coach themselves .

Anyone see the guy in black watching 5 year old soccer and going nuts? No goalies and some high school kid reffing the game. This guy thought it was the world cup. Yep just like lax moms

YES!!! Those soccer parents were crazy- I was cracking up. It was like that every Saturday! Yes, they made the lax crazies look a little less crazy.
