My understanding is that True Atlantic (like the other True National teams) is designed as an 'add on' to a player's current club.

Anyone know how much this add-on team costs?

Don’t worry about it. The families that need to know, know.

OK. Thanks for nothing. There's a tryout advertised this weekend. Cost is an issue for some. But if your attitude is indicative of the team then hard pass

The team is hand picked. Tryout is a money grab. Wake up. If they wanted your son he would be on the team already.

Yes, this is correct, completely hand-picked, they know exactly who they want.

My eyes are open and my son is the second coming of Paul Rabil. Anyone answer the question of the annual cost?

Educated guess...$400ish for initial team dues (gets you helmet and full gear) and first camp/tournament. Then $200 for each tournament after.

Last year it was around $350 for the "dues" which included the uniform but not the helmet, gloves, etc. then you had to pay for the mini camps which was $850 for the year. Tournaments are generally around $200 each. Exhibition games are cheaper.

Your eyes may be open , but you are having a hard time seeing the writing on the wall. Annual cost is irrelevant , Your son is not on the team for a reason, now HIT The Wall !! Better luck next year getting noticed.

I appreciate the advice but it's been 20+ years since I needed to hit the wall and get noticed. You won't notice me as I'll watch the games with my wife or other reasonable parents. We try and stay away from the crazies that coach their kids from the sidelines and yell at refs or grumble about the coaches or other players if things aren't perfect. When my son does well my heart will swell with pride but I won't brag on a forum or in person. If he struggles it will be up to him to hit the wall or ask his coach for help. Thanks to those who answered my question

Did you get your answer at the “tryout.”

One of the guys behind it is from NJ, he coached the '23 Tri-State Shore team, was fired and moved to Utah. Believe the team only played in two events. One was a b/s event in NJ run by Mad Dog, a waste of time.

The real goal is for True and Hawks to get to know top players not tied leading programs so they can invite the player to be guest players during the year.

Hard pass here too. Attitudes like speak volumes to the character of a team. No thanks.

The guys behind it have nothing ro do with NJ. One of them a National Director for True and the other guy is a local Md poacher/team hopper

This.

The "purpose" of the True Atlantic team is for the old ACS team to get a national organization behind it. True benefits by having another (it has three now) "National" 2023 team with a lot of talent. The tryout was likely to fill a few spots, so it was mostly a money grab, but hey, if parents are willing to pay...

I think that the NJ thing came into play because the old tri-state coach now works for true, and a few of his former tri-state kids play on True Atlantic

Hard pass isnt needed. There is a reason neither of you are getting an invite
