The same Madlax liar. All post from this same guy. Interesting how no other Madlax parents makes the same claim. Not a single one, ever. In fact, this guy makes 99% of the Madlax posts.

Dude. Take a good look in the mirror. You really have to do something about your sorry life. Judging by the frequency of your posts, you dont even have a job. Kinda sad, in a way.

Completely typical scenario. A jealous parent that dreams of having his kid play for either Taz or WP, launches a verbal attack on both teams. He gets his responses, and then WP and Taz parents are are labeled narcistic, by this website and the jealous parents. Let’s get this straight right now! The problem is the jealous fanatics, that CONTINUALLY throw the first punch, not the ones that punch back in self defense.

Sure. You claim that Madlax won’t be at the WSYL next year. There’s only one reason why a team doesn’t go to the biggest event in youth lacrosse and that’s because they have no chance of winning it. Actually, in your case there are two reasons.

No Hold backs = No Wins.
No Hold backs = No team (need 10 players to field a team)

So, no point in going! Proof!

LI dad here. Not a fan of this Madlax [ChillLaxin], but the WYSL is not a good tournament
2 or 3 great teams and the rest awful. Have seen it every year. If they moved it to LI or Philly, it would be great.

WSYL eligibility requires all players must be born on or after 9/1/2004. Madlax does not have any kids born before 9/1/2004. All kids are 11 & 12. We're not going because parents decided we didnt want to go. That's it. End of story.

This guy has his facts screwed up. Again. The 9/1/04 date is for teams entering the tournament THIS YEAR (2018) not next year, when our boys will be playing. Next year the date will be on or after 9/1/05. So according to him, Madlax doesn’t have any players born before 9/1/04, a whole year before the eligibility date. That spells a ton of holdbacks to me! Thanks for the tip!!

Nice try. Same lone wolf Madlax dad. Still going with that whole lying gig. Not working here either. WSYL gets all of the top top teams and have since it's inception. Fact.

Unfortunately for Madlax, you guys probably wouldn't even make it through the qualifiers without your holdbacks, so it's very doubtful that you would even get to Denver. So, maybe you're right. Quit before you even start. Another great quality to teach your kids. Cheaters AND quitters.

Look at it on the bright side. You can watch the LI kids win It again, on TV, from Mile High.

It’ll be fun!

This guy is a pot stirrer. I was at the WSYL last year. A first class event from top to bottom. Amazing experience for all of the kids and parents. Best tournament, by far, to date. Competition was excellent. All of the top teams were represented. Looking forward to going back next year.

Wrong. Always 2-3 strong teams from the East Coast, and the rest is junk. Enjoy chasing that trophy, Dad. Hope it was worth $2,000.

Question. Where do you get your information? I suppose that you requested the birthdates of all players on the three teams, and they mailed it to you, correct? You’re as mindless as the Madlax holdback parent. I can tell you that my son plays on one of those teams and they have no players born before Dec 05. According to multiple Express parents, they have a bunch of new holdbacks. But if you look at Taz and WP you’d be hard pressed to find any player that physically resembles a holdback. At least one of those teams doesn’t have any, which bodes well for them next year in Denver. So stop making false statements.

Seems like 2024 has its share of talented players. Soon enough these kids will be competing for their High Schools. Based on what we know now, where are these top guns coming from... what HS teams look to be competing for county and LI championships, in a few years? The traditional Nassau powerhouses of GC and Manhasset? In Suffolk, will it still be about perennial favorites SWR and WM?

To be clear, top teams from around the country, and the world, are represented at the WSYL each year. This tournament has as level a playing field as there is, in youth lacrosse. It eliminates many of the loop holes that plague other tournaments, which some teams have exploited to their advantage. The age restriction eliminates holdback players from being eligible, and the 100 mile radius rule, eliminates outside "ringers" from being brought in. While these rules result in a fairer competition, teams that have become dependent upon these loop holes, will be handicapped under the WSYL rule structure. Teams that are overly dependent upon these loop holes for their success may find the rules of the WSYL too restrictive, and chose not to participate, as a result.

. Rules should be like this for all tournaments.

.......... Eligibility Rules - United States Teams.......WSYL

All players must be born on or after 9/1/2004. Each player will be required to submit a copy of their birth certificate.
All players must compete with their team or program on a regular basis. Minimum requirements are that players must compete with their team/program for at least two tournaments (outside of a WSYL event), or in a seasonal league. These events do not need to precede the qualifier but must precede the Championship event. WSYL reserves the right to require proof of participation in these tournaments or leagues. Players cannot be added only to participate in the World Series.
All players must reside within 100 miles of the home field of their program. Players will be required to submit a report card, school identification card, or comparable proof of residency.
No player may compete, or be rostered, on more than one team during the tournament.
All teams must carry between 18-23 field players and a minimum of 2 goalies at all times. Both goalies do not have to physically participate in the Regional Qualifier, but both need to regularly play within your club or organization and will be held to the same roster eligibility standards as other players. Total roster size can not exceed 25 players.
The only permitted roster modification after submission of the final roster will be the replacement of an injured goalie with another goalie pending a written request and WSYL approval.
Copies of birth certificates, proof of residency (report card from '16/'17 academic year & valid parent Driver's License), verification of health insurance accepted in the United States, and waiver forms, are all due:
West/Central Regional Qualifier: January 13, 2017
North/East/South Regional Qualifier: March 3, 2017
Any team in violation of the above roster rules will forfeit all games in which the ineligible player has participated, forfeit any opportunity to advance to the playoffs and forfeit any accolades or titles received by the team.
Any team that forfeits a game during the tournament will be ineligible to advance to the playoffs.

Lies. Every year, there are 1-3 teams that dominate and pummel the rest. If the tournament was in Baltimore, Philly or LI, then it would have a chance of being a real tournament. The location and cost involved precludes almost all of the best clubs. The only top clubs to go there are the ones chasing a meaningless youth trophy.

I rather take my family on a vacation somewhere in the Caribbean than a lacrosse tournament spending that much money playing other LI teams . JMO

Thank you for that stimulating commentary, Madlax holdback dad.

Totally agree.

The issue is not about the occasional holdback. The issue is with the parents and teams like Madlax that cheat the system to get an unfair and unethical advantage, for both their child and their teams. Without controls there will always be people out there looking to cheat the system. In society they are called criminals. In youth lacrosse they are called parents, directors and coaches. For once, an organization stepped up, stood up to the big known holdback clubs, and did the right thing. Kudos to the WSYL organization. That took guts.

Good thing Madlax guy, because you and your holdbacks are going to be able to do just that. Btw. They get cable in the Caribbean. Don’t forget to catch the game on ESPN2, as the LI boys become world champions yet again.

Pequa has a nice ‘24 crop. Look for them to continue their winning ways.

Elite 12 tournament is the best in the age group. Top 12 teams in the country. Madlax, bethesda, team 91 MD, hawks, crabs, brotherly love, Wolfpack, Taz, express, laxachusetts, BBL, eclipse

1. Unless you have proof of anyone being a holdback, shut your Hofstra-educated mouth. You won't find anyone because there are none. You don't think tournaments would rat out Madlax if they were breaking the rules?

2. Any [ChillLaxin] who calls the winner of ANY tournament "world champion" is severely deranged. Maybe that car port flipped over and hit you on the head (hope it didn't damage your TransAm).

Best east coast tourney this year, although half the teams you listed, Mr Madlax, are horrible teams which leads me to believe you don’t know much about the ‘24 landscape. Interesting how you site a tourney that Madlax finished 4th in, last year. Typical showing for your ‘23’s. Regardless, we’re referring to next year and it hardly compares to a national/international tourney that’s on national TV on ESPN2 with top D1 on air talent. Absolutely, no comparison, obviously! However, for the cheating holdback teams, that’s as close as you are going to get.

Is this the final list? Now that is a list to get excited about. Millon should check rosters like he did for 2022 tournament, and should post an all tournament team.
