[quote=Anonymous]They seem carry a lot of kids on both teams, and it appears a lot of them are attack too, but the starting Attack line on A team seems to be pretty solid....... They could prob use another lefty or size though to round them off. [/quot
Recon did cut down the # of players from last year and I think they will do the same again, need better depth at attack position.

I wouldn't be talking too much smack about AJ. Not only was he a great player, he is a good Coach. He is building something legit. Let's see what Dukes can do, besides your sh?t talking. Just another [lacrosse] in this site. Any good Coach, player has tasted defeat....part of the game A&&hole.

Way off base, if you weren't stuck in B tourneys all summer you would have seen the big kids playing for PT and FCA. All 2023 teams. Sorry you were playing Laxachussetts White all summer. Oh, it ok, you can still mislead all your friends and say your son is playing for the Express!

Hey man, we were home in 30 minutes - don't much care who is a 22 or 23 or how many were wearing WSYL gear, the kids were out gunned, but played hard. I will tell my friends that some sucker paid $2k a year to play on a national team that travels to play B teams.

dukes and Express have beef pretty funny. Whats even funnier is Express parents complaining about the Duke holdbacks I guess they forgot they have about 4 or 5. Not including the kid that plays on the 2022 then goes down to 2023 games real class act Express is.

Dukes brought several teams to play Express teams on Sunday at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford. Their supposed 2023 team played the Express' Haugen team (2nd team). Dukes team had several players that had recently participated in the WSYL, as was clear by some of the gear they were wearing. This years WSYL event was for 2022's, not 2023's. It was crystal clear for anyone that watched the game, that several of the boys that played for the Duke's were older. Regardless of whether they were holdbacks, reclassifications, etc., they were noticeably larger and more physically mature then the Express' team. The Dukes program has to have victories to market their program and concept, and if it means that they need to stack a team to do so, it's what will sell the program to the parents that are looking for that result. Unfortunately it is the state of youth lacrosse today, that victories are more important then the development of the players, and organizations that are competing for players and revenue will do what they have to accomplish their goal. At the end of the day, these were exhibition games played by young boys that probably spent their afternoon at the pool or beach, and gave it far less thought then most of the adults that spend their time on these threads.

1 WSYL player on DN 2023 and he's an 10/04 birthday so he'll be eligible next year too. Yes, definitely bigger faster stronger, just not older. Keep telling yourself that they are holdbacks if it makes you feel better, but please stop harassing the 12 year old boys during the game. HAHAHA You must be that fat Dukes parent that came waddling over to the stands to claim your son was only 12. Tell him to enjoy his size advantage because judging by the gene pool he's destined to be 5'7" 315 waddling around the crease

So who organized these games? I just see it as Apples and Oranges when you have a organization that is pulling kids from various clubs together a few times a year to play together vs. a club team whose kids all come from a similar geography and put their club team first and foremost. Why didn't express play their A team? Why did Express B offer to play this game knowing that the Duke's team is what it is. (Very good players from multiple regions consisting of a 2023 team with kids that would be 2022 had their parents elected to not start them in school a year later for whatever reasons). I see neither club benefiting from this. Maybe Duke's should go play True which seems to be following their model. Maybe Team 91 should put together a team with their various regional clubs. For Express being able to play a good team in their backyard I guess is a no brainer...not sure what Duke's gets out of it. What was the final score? Sounds like it wasn't competitive?

Express does the same thing some balls calling out Dukes. You had at least one player for sure playing in WSYL and he played in the 2023 LI Laxfest bracket then played in the 2022 bracket, stop crying Express you got beat at your own cheating game. Your program does the same thing bring holdbacks and older kids to try and win a tourney so you can boost up tryout participation and numbers for more teams = more revenue for the owner. Got a taste of your own medicine sucks right.

That's what a well rounded team looks like... After the beating, you're left standing around looking stupid because you can't even figure out who did it to you. And yes both goalies are fantastic, unfortunately, only 2-3 shots were put on goal. Next time and your best team like the other age groups. Pretty True assessment, by this poster!
