How did Liberty do against M&D, Hero's and Stars?

Does YJ have more than just the one Draw girl they used? She seemed to struggle in the game. Liberty didn't shorten the bench at all in this game. All the girls had a hand in this win, not the way it is done there. I agree a two goal win isn't enough to hang a hat on. The u14's will be interesting.

You obviously cannot read. It was phrased as a question, no expectation or guarantee. No we are going to win next time predictions. Frankly it was complimentary to the Liberty girls, twice by the way. The only thought was perhaps a bit of pause on the chest thumping after one win in a tight game. You clearly have a YJ hate going so I will leave it that.

As a former club coach from MD, I truly enjoyed playing against teams from Long Island due to their physicality/toughness style of play. I never felt it was "thugish"/dirty and it only required my players to become more mentally tough and become more tactfully aware. As for "chest thumping" on the part of Liberty/YJ parents, I prefer to refer to it as being prideful. MD parents have a sense of pride regarding which club their child plays for as well. While it's the players that play the game, parents should advocate for their children and pride being the motivating feeling when it comes to a competitive sport. While we experience the same "vitriol" between parents on the MD Forum (No I'm not a "troll", just a lacrosse lover), we should be prideful that our sport is becoming more nationally recognized, women getting more opportunities, and Title IX alive an well. Good luck this summer and beyond to all age groups and club organizations.

YJ's play exactly the same way Stony Brook plays - Aggressive, take liberties after whistles, continuous pushing of the envelope and bending of rules etc. A successful but ugly ugly game

And MD club teams play exactly the same way as the U of MD plays....flopping, diving, head throwing. All in the hopes of a free position. Stukenberg used it to steal away the Tewaaraton this season and U of MD used it to steal a natty from BC. Tough to watch

Agreed that the U of MD plays that way, but it's not dangerous to the other players.

Common issue is POOR OFFICIATING in both the dirty games and with the floppers.

In girls Lax referees have the greatest say in winners and loser in all of sports

TE? Now that's a joke! They play in tournaments and win, that doesn't make them good. Look who they play all season

The Liberty D is Weakest and smallest part of their team too!

In addition to the above, also the reason there will soon be free movement after whistles, 8m free positions for 3 seconds. Also why offsides calls re-set the 90 second clock. Nice to see rules committee addressing some issues that matter.

I am not sure it is necessarily solely POOR OFFICIATING (although it doesn't help). It is also inconsistent officiating. That is why I applaud the Rules Committee attempting to make the game a bit easier to officiate. Free movement allows the official to concentrate more on player safety and not players moving after whistles. Keeping Draws to 6 players until possession is secured.

How did Liberty do last weekend against the MD teams

The officiating is really bad that's why changing the rules every year is insane let the officials adjust wait at least two years then make modifications

Why does the YJ 2023 teams play in bottom level divisions? Are they that bad?

Hey, I coached the chess team and watched lacrosse for many years in HS and college. Maybe CR will hire me as the Thorne 2023 assistant. Seems like thats all you need on the resume

I thought 2019 Carro was going to go undefeated this year. They got all the big stars back. They won national draw last year. Maybe they can repeat at LFTC

awww...did you little SB team get knocked out by MD. Next time maybe SB should try building on their lead and not let MD comeback instead of trying to foul the other team into submission. MD did not steal the 'natty' from BC..THEY WON IT!

As for Stuckenberg winning the Tewaaraton..she was in top 3 in every category....scoring a bunch a goals against bad teams does not win a Tewaaraton!

CR only evaluates her bank account !!!! Thorne and ESM lax daddy are going no where, so grin and bare it or move to another club. She is looking to cash as many checks as she can period. If your kid a top five player on a YJ team you don't need to CR to get recruited she will get recruited without her..... FACTS now have at it folks

My biggest takeaway from the weekend is how many girls are on the YJ teams (CR Twitter). They barely fit in the frame, can't imagine how little playing time some of them get.
