Igloo $4K per kid is that true ? At 20 paid that's $80K budget figuring coaches kids play for free. Has anyone tried to wrap their head around that and what is the upside over a 5 year stint for $20K out of pocket before travel expenses. Between "tuition" (love that phrase) , travel and aggravation tax parent are out of pocket for $50K. Has Igloo had one D1 commit ? They have one good team that got smacked around in that WSYL game and all this talk about this group. Can someone explain what the bad blood is about, all we read is Lucky Charms and Outlaws Poacher and what jerks these guys are.

$4000 to play 12 yr old lacrosse is crazy. There is nothing that any club can offer a 12 yr old that can justify a parent paying $4000. s

Stop please stop the whining ....it's getting old. Then don't tryout for the club. Don't knock until you try it. The tryout alone was top notch and competitive.

And I'm sure it wasn't free either and that's fine but $4K is a huge number and my point was what is the return on your investment. This is just club lax expense start adding showcases , prospect camps etc etc. A parent can be at $80K or more at this rate and there is no guarantee. I remember the days when clubs were $1K per kid and don't give the BS that tourney costs when up. Tourneys were $1500 now maybe $2500 so at 6 events thats an extra $6K in expenses. Uniforms are either cheaper or for free now because a club gets sponsored. Let us lookout at the club side 20 kids at $1K vs 20 at $4K that's $60K to the plus side to make up that paltry $6K in tournament increases. And being that you brought up tryouts $25 vs $100 and there are double the number of kids because of the mass confusion, it's like the stock market and how traders make $$$$ in a volatile market. Finally , the clubs chirp about loyalty and the lack thereof but see how fast a club releases a kid that is slightly better or is politically connected to the club or the coach. The whole fish stinks from the head on down.

You do get 2 helmets, custom gloves and bag. Swag sells teams.

Pay for college yourself....it is cheaper than getting a scholarship thru club lacrosse.

I just checked the website, $3100 for new players, 2400 for current players. where does the $4k come from?

You don't need club lacrosse to get recruited. Every college has prospect days. Narrow down the college list to the ones your kid wants to attend and go to those prospect days. Easy as that.

No A hole its not ok to talk about either (A or B), the whole post was sarcastic, hence the Bandits reference. The way all these parents talk about teams, coaches, kids is pathetic. I honestly cant believe the stupidity that goes on here. Again good luck to all, I'm sure you guys already have your kids verbally committed to D1 schools... :):):)

This year Igloo is throwing in the extra bonus of playing down in Fla new years weekend. So pay for some really expensive flights, and break your family up for New Year weekend, or take out a second mortgage and bring the whole family. That's really necessary for a 6th grader

Sounds like it's going to cost a lot more than $4k this year ! And that doesn't include the "extra" training with the gnome that costs $20 each time your kid shows up!

Bangals only have a 2022 and 2021 team, and 24 is a brand new club that's still trying to put a 2023 together, so I am not sure how they are on the list.
