Agreed. Some teams hold tryouts & are never going to take any kids on the roster. Some teams are going to lose kids who are going to bounce from club to club in search of the next best thing. I think most want an answer fairly soon after the tryouts (if he makes a team).
What travel teams are you looking at trying out for?
The clubs that have late tryouts will lose out on new talent and switching talent. The clubs with early tryouts will pressure you to say yes within a day or two. Period.
If your kid is a very good player, they will wait. Otherwise, you need to lock up the spot and pay the fee!
