Good play day with the "Big 3" over the weekend. Didn't see too much "me ball" from any team. Good competition all the way around.

SW parents might question the "me ball". Lots of heads down, going to the goal.

Since they get talked about so little, I will bring up defenses. I thought the defenses of each team at the UM play day looked great. No team was able to really run up the score. There were definitely some standouts, one with great speed getting the ball up field. For the most part though, the defenses seemed on par with each other. I was impressed with some of the middies ability to play D as well. Any opinions?

It is so unnecessary. It is toxic parents on the team creating such unnecessary drama heading into the biggest summer of the season for these girls. If the "me ball" was as bad as you want an anonymous forum to believe, the coaches would be seeing it and doing something about it. Every parent will always believe a player holds onto the ball longer than she should, especially if that parent's kid is wide open. Get over it. You are not the one on the field playing. If your PLAYER feels the "me ball" is a problem, tell your PLAYER to go talk to the coach so that you can stop your tantrums on an online forum.

Teammates love the ME ball players. Every team has them and coaches allow them to force , crash and fall too much.

Any reason why the top 3 (Spallina, CLC B and M&D Black) are in three different brackets this weekend? Coincidence?

Doesn’t Spallina usually drop out of LLL? That and Summer Genesis two of the last three years. Assuming it depends on how many of his players he is missing from States

Do you want to watch a YJ vs M&D matchup for the 567th time, or do you want to watch new matchups? Good God you will find anything to complain about every tournament. If they were all in the same bracket, you would complain about that too!

AA teams in Baltimore all looks loaded. Unfortunate that top clubs in other areas don’t all send kids to same tourney. 25 team is silly talented at all positions. If they play together they will be fun to watch.

These teams are not in competition with one other. Let the girls play on their respective teams, hopefully show well for some coaches and move forward in their recruiting journeys. Such clowns on this forum.

This weekend every year the LI and Massachusetts teams are missing players due to State playoffs What I’m told is that YJ Bert and spallina are each missing more than 10 players each and are helping each other this weekend Mass elite is also impacted missing many players. Maryland HS has been done for weeks

Big difference from the prior weekend where Heros beat M&D. Who cares? I'm sure there were plenty of college coaches watching this game and they could care less about the score. Close competitive games are what they like to see. They are scouting players, not scores.

They like to watch girls play good lacrosse.

It’s amazing to me that at this stage of the players club career that parents still want to claim which team is better. All top teams have kids with great opportunities ahead of them. That should be the focus with 9/1 approaching…..the scores f these games are irrelevant

Games aren't fun to play if literally, no one cares who wins. This goes for a board game or club lacrosse. It's fun to win, but the most focus should be on playing well in front of college coaches and getting film.
