How about a fair evaluation process? Club affiliation shouldn't factor into how they grouped the participants. I believe I saw an "A" group, "B" group and a "C" group in some age groups. Was told they were grouped based off the strength of their club.

Strongly agree with more small group, position specific training sessions at AU Futures. I like the idea of supporting women's pro lacrosse. But for the cost there should be more interaction with the pros. My daughters team didn't even have a coach for one of their games and just organized themselves. That said, she had a lot of fun and really enjoyed it.

2020-21 MD Rankings 1) M&D 2) Hero's Green 3) BLC 4) NEMS 5) Pride 6) MD United 7) Coppermine 8) LBC 9) Hero's White 10) Integrity
2021-22 MD Rankings 1) M&D 2) Hero's Green 3) BLC 4) LBC 5) MD United 6) Pride 7) Integrity 8) NEMS 9) Coppermine 10) Renegades
Comparing last year to this year, here are my observations:
M&D is going to be very hard to beat, especially adding those NEMS players, not sure Hero's can break past them.
BLC is consistently good, obviously it appears next year is the final year of this team before most end of at Capital.
NEMS very much a risk to fall outside the MD Top-10.
Pride, MD United and LBC are are fighting for 4th place behind the big three, it seems MD United is going to take that spot.
Integrity had a great spring but didn't look great this summer. They could get into that next tier or struggle and fall back.
Hero's White, Coppermine and Renegades will battle to stay in Top-10. Not sure any feel good after tryouts.
Skywalkers Blue will finish 2023 in the Top-10, perhaps even Top-7.
Here is my pre-season 2022-2023 MD Top-10
1) M&D 2) Hero's Green 3) BLC
Tier Drop
4) MD United 5) Pride 6) Integrity 7) LBC 8) Skywalkers 9) Coppermine 10) NEMS

I would rank 4-6: LBC, Pride, MD United. Pride can't beat LBC but has never lost to MD United.

After playing both top teams regularly, my daughter thinks Hero's green is a step above M&D. Hero's is more athletic. If M&D added the top NEMS players, the scales may tip, but I would put Hero's in the top spot for now. Obviously we're splitting hairs.

Did the SW 2027 coach leave? What team is she coaching now?

Not confirmed yet but they have plenty of great coaches
Looks like SW added 7 field players, should be significantly better

They will definitely jump NEMS, maybe Coppermine!

Definitely will jump NEMS. Maybe not Coppermine. Skywalkers needs / needed lot's of help. Had no top talent. Not sure they really acquired top talent after tryouts. But they will certainly be better. Maybe top 10 in Maryland now.

"Did LBC lose any players?"
My kid was at AU, evidently they lost their top player, not sure to where. Not sure if they lost more.

You might want to hold off on Pride and BLC until you see how many of their players left for Stars

Someone mentioned SW jumping NEMS but not sure about Coppermine. So I see here SW picked up plenty of new players. Did NEMS lose players or pick up any? How about Coppermine- I doubt they lost any but did they add any? What about the rest- Pride, MDU, LBC, Hero’s White, and TLC? Any word on any of these teams? Looks like the top three will remain the same- M&D, Hero’s Green and BLC?

The 2 players Pride picked up more than make up for the ones they lost.
Yes, Stars will be still better. But probably not better than 2-6 in NGLL.

NEMS top three went to M&D. TLC lost 3 top players to SWB. Heros White imploded. Top 3 left. 2 went to BLC, other to SWB, 2 to Coppermine, 1 stopped playing altogether. HG lost 2nd and 3rd best defenders. 1 to SWB, 1 to Check-Hers.

Where did Pride get the two new players?
NEMS lost arguably their top 3 players to M&D, its a huge blow, but maybe they added some talent.
I don't see any change in top-3 though maybe BLC was weakened? No idea if the players they lost were in their top-5.

Wow, people doubted it would happen, but it sounds like the prophecy of Skywalkers making drastic improvements in middle school has come true. Sounds like both their 27 and 28 teams have gone from not-a-threat to contenders over the summer. Even if not top three, there's no question the 27 team will be much improved.

Pride got 2 players from Cavs (including their star) and a defender from M&D. The Cavs girl and M&D defender will both start and be big upgrades.

I don't believe BLC is weaker. They lost two players to Stars. They gained two players from Hero's White. I'd say at worst they're talent remains at the same level. Two players lost are nice players but not game changers. I'm not sure how the girls from Hero's are.

#4 in MD will still be Top-10 Nationally.
Not sure who that will be, but sounds like Pride or MD United based on what I hear which is basically status quo

Heros lost nothing that will cause them to drop. Swb is average and needs any players they can get. The one going to checkers is to concentrate on soccer. That club will not help her with lacrosse except a place to play in summer instead of giving up lacrosse completely.

That club will not help her with lacrosse except a place to play in summer instead of giving up lacrosse completely. No one is saying they will drop. Fact is still that they lost their second and third best defenders. They have one strong one left, a few that are only on the team due to their parents being coaches, and some others that are average. They still have one of the best offense and midfields in this age group. Although I expect M&D to pull ahead of them this year.

SWB got 2 really good defenders from HG, attacker from M&D Black, moved up a very athletic mid from white and 3 solid mids fromTLC R
It will be a very good and complete team without glaring gaps like in the past.

Didn’t CC Lax win it the year before, and got destroyed by just about every team in the A bracket? Where did these new girls come from? No A team lost girls to them that I know of.
