I honestly miss the early 2022 version of this forum, where every dad from Oxon Hill to Severna Park to Perry Hall was popping up and talking about the "serious interest" "pursuing him" and "definite lax scholarships" that various MIAA coaches were going to give their sons. If you're going to CH it is.......

There are also many FCA players who do not attend CH.

There are many CHC players who do not play for FCA.

Yep they're riding the bench on the 50 man roster.

Guessing you will be seeing departures from the Crabs. Word is the boys are not a fan of the new coaching since King Crab coach has moved on.

Another misinformed soul. King crab is with the 23s until the end of the season and then will be with the 26s through HS. Hilarious.

Crabs have put a full court press on getting all the 24s they can find. Obviously, the 25s did not workout like they thought.

It’s also the number of non-holdbacks on the team.

Look at the PA board. Tigers team imploded and broke up a day after winning the NLF. Crazy!

The model of adding guest players for tournaments is not a good way to retain regular players. Players don’t develop. Also it’s not a very nice group of kids and parents. That’s why they are leaving.

Cruel Cruel Summer

Crabs 2025 was and still is a disaster. KIng Crab keeps thinking he can fix it with his OOS players. Local kids want to practice 1 or 2x a week in a team setting. KC does not care. He just wants rosters that are full, does not care about players/parents. Has told people for years that Crabs is the best... He really does believe his own BS after a while.

Don’t go play for crabs unless you are ok with out of state players showing up when they feel like it, taking time from players who show up at everything. Don’t go play for Crabs unless you are willing to be held back when told. Don’t go play for Crabs if you are looking for development of your player or for anything else besides wins. If winning is all you care about for your kid, it’s a great day to be a crab!

Wow, Bitter much. Crabs are top team and everyone wants to play for them except....and this is a big except, those that cant play at elite level yet think they can.

I don't think they played in any; avoided the top teams all summer.

MIAA schools have giant rosters for sure. But it's not like half of kids are getting cut. At CH, about 140 tried out. Final rosters, I believe, were 55 varsity, 28 JV, 25 F/So.

The funnest part of this thread 6 months ago was the Dad Theory that because their kid was "noticed" or "got a call" that it was a free pass to admission, tuition reduction, and varsity roster. When in reality, for most kids, the payoff was at most, an admission offer.

Stop being such a rookie. Club lax doesnt matter in high school. Only for recruiting now.

Who added the most in tryouts?

they haven't finished yet! ML this week, Crabs last week, DCE next week and VLC as well and Hawks ??. first week of august when it will all shake out.

Lots of clean uniforms on CHC sidelines for years.

Well since crabs is the only team that has finished tryouts it’s hard to say.
