holy cow, you must be some kind of mental patient, you have severe issues.
Something happened to this person, no one is this fixated on one school and rooting for its demise this much. We get it, Stanford didn't want your kid, you can't get over it. Call your therapist instead, stop cluttering up this forum with your angst.

I know CN and her family very well. My source could not be better. Nice try. If true, thanks for shinning some light in the mystery. That said, it’s my opinion that she was the biggest single reason BC won the NC this year.. you mean to tell me she couldn’t do that in Duke? Walker ain’t that much better than Kimel No dog in this fight, but AW has established herself as currently being “The Best Coach” in the game. Recruiting, developing, attracting transfers, and yes “coaching “. She is the best. As far as winning the championship is concerned it was a total team effort in the championship game. The goalie played well, the BC Defense played well, the defender who also played on the circle “controlled the game”. She had countless gb’s and dc’s and played great D and picked a pass that lead to a goal if I remember correctly. Attack & Goalie transfers put BC over the top all year . BC Coach is better. Duke is the better school. If choosing between Dook & Boston College is your biggest problem may I suggest doing The Applebee’s Dance… because life is pretty good.😃

Some more big visits this weekend. Expecting a bunch more top girls will make their choice. Most of the best schools will be filling their quota over the next week or so with the exception of Stanford, who will get the leftovers (some very good girls, but not the top) Huge pick-up for Stanford announced today, Liz Hogan as a voluntary assistant to work with the goalies. Adding one of the best goalies ever to play the game rounds out a tremendous young coaching staff. Megan Whittle running the offense, just happens to be Maryland’s career goal leader. Britteny Orashen will lead the defense coming from the Associate Head Coaching role at Jacksonville and a sweet 16 appearance last season. Danielle Spencer as Head Coach, 3 national titles at Northwestern, led Dartmouth to an Ivy League title in her 3rd year there in 2019 and Stanford to a PAC12 championship in 2021 in her first year. Ranked 13th to start the 2022 campaign, they will have the best freshman eligible group in the country. Get on board 2023s!!!

A great coaching staff they have, just like many other teams. As far as best freshman class?? It doesn’t make it true just because your daughter goes there. Did you forget that some Ivies did not enroll last year. Pretty sure their freshman classes will be stacked as well! Bottom line is that the school is just too far away for most girls who have their pick of schools. Good luck to all!

Although not sure why the league has regular season co-champions considering Princeton won the head to head match up. In any event, DS is a very good coach, she will do an excellent job at Stanford.

The girls that go to Stanford and the Ivies will be a lot smarter than the ones that go to Syracuse, Maryland etc. Acceptance rates are 3-10%. You just need a pulse to go to Syracuse.

Only 4 D1 programs have admission rates at 10%, Duke, Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Northwestern. Those schools reject lots of kids with perfect test scores, perfect grades, but no extracurriculars. Getting in with lax and on-the-cusp competitive academics is the Golden ticket! Kids from these schools soo pretty well in life comparatively;)
What blows my mind in all 4 above are Power 5, with each having endowments over 10 billion, 100 percent need based aid, and the aid is extremely generous, yet Somehow these schools do not have the very best lax yet in and out. Where are the Best/brightest lax kids that are willing to take a risk with the highest echelon of academics?

Girls need minimum of 1300 SAT regardless of how good they are at lax for most of these schools. Not every one is an A+ student taking AP classes and scoring high on standardized tests. Eliminates a lot of girls. I think the list of combined great lax and elite academics are: Princeton Penn Stanford Northwestern Duke Then there are a bunch of schools that are either great academically and just OK at lax, or great at lax and still strong (10-20) academically like: ND Hopkins Yale Cornell Brown Dartmouth Or top tier academics but stink at lax (blown out many games) Vanderbilt Harvard Columbia

Where are the Best/brightest lax kids that are willing to take a risk with the highest echelon of academics? Not sure why you say "only 4 DI programs have admissions rates at 10%". Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Penn, Hopkins, Dartmouth, as well as Army & Navy all have acceptance rates below 10%. Acceptance rate is not relevant when it comes to athletes. As far as "the very best lax year in and year out", what are you talking about? What school do you think has "the very best lax year in and year out"? Northwestern, Princeton, Penn are Top 10 Lacrosse Programs. Duke and Hopkins are pretty much Top 20 (Duke was a Top 10 program until a few years ago and could easily be back to being one of the 10 best programs). Stanford is a very competitive program (not as consistent as the others mentioned) but Top 20 most years and has finished in the Top 10 not long ago, I would consider Stanford one of the 20 best Programs. Not every kid has the athletic ability and the academics to go to schools like the ones listed so I guess I do not get your point. I would not turn my nose up at Michigan, UNC, UVA, Notre Dame, Georgetown, Penn State, Maryland, Arizona State etc... it's about job opportunities after college (take a look at the schools on the lists that have been posted There are a lot of excellent opportunities out there for women's lacrosse players, help your daughter find the best fit so that her college experience is a great one. Below has been posted several times.... It's about the education and the opportunities after college.... not promoting any one school, there are a lot of great opportunities... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ While I believe it's great for a kid to go to The Best school it is Best to go to Right (best fit) school. Just want to point out the opportunities Lacrosse can provide for our children. The rankings are primarily in order of "number undergraduate hires" from each school from 2014 - 2019. Not knocking or touting any schools, just pointing out that Lacrosse can help get our children into many of the feeder schools that many companies recruit from. Not every kid knows what career path they want to pursue so choosing a school that can open as many doors as possible is very important. In many cases, it will be the school "name recognition and or prestige" that will help get their foot in the door with an interview (lacrosse connections help as well). It would take some knowledge and research but I am just using data. Stanford 2020 recruiting class was ranked 2nd by Inside lacrosse with 4 Under Armour All-Americans. Of the 4, 3 red shirted last season and they were the #4, #6 and top ranked goalie according to Inside Lacrosse. None of the ivies had a top 10 ranked 2020 class. Add the red shirts to the 2021 class and that will be 6 UA All-Americans. Also, the Stanford 2021 and 2022 class commits made the finals at the HHH and Lake Placid committed events this summer. Obviously not the same as college games but it is an indicator of how talented the future Stanford commits are vs. their peers. They beat commits from BC, Northwestern and other top 10-20 schools. They only lost to UNC in the finals of both events. Not bad for nerd lacrosse…

Not bad for nerd lacrosse… Stanford is a great school with a very good lacrosse program. Happy to see some top tier recruits (UA All-Americans) going to Stanford. But for crying out loud please do not bring up a summer tournament as some kind indication of the actual strength of the team or the recruits. It is foolish to do so. Good luck to Stanford, Congratulations to all of the players and recruits they made a great choice!

What a whirlwind the last couple of weeks have been. DD set up visits with her top choices that called on Sept 1 -- called to start process, not offer --- but none of them made an offer while she was there. As we go deeper down the D1 list of schools that reached out, the schools are more "never heard of" territory and I'm starting to really suffer some parental fatigue from the visits. Any advice on next steps? She has called and responded to a few upcoming prospect day invitations at schools of interest, but no response.

In a polite persistent way make sure the entire coaching staff at all schools she would like to go to are aware of her genuine interest in playing for them and going to the school. Review her list and look into all other schools she might be interested in. Have club directors reach out to the coaches at her top choices to see if you can find out exactly where she stands. Stay positive and help your daughter to do the same. The process has just begun . How many 23’s have committed? 50? There will likely be 700-800 DI commits…. If your daughter was invited to visit there is interest, if they are not offering they most likely have higher ranked players on their list that they are trying to get. No coach/program gets all of the players that they want. Each time they miss, the coach moves down their list. Stay positive and be proactive without being a pest to the coaches. The process is fluid, it changes everyday and where and when other players commit can impact your daughters position. We are very early in the process.

The process is fluid, it changes everyday and where and when other players commit can impact your daughters position. We are very early in the process. According to Inside Lacrosse there are approximately 50 public commits... If you look at the 15 to 20 best programs (BC, MD, UNC, Northwestern, Syracuse, Princeton, UVA, Penn, Florida, Stony Brook, JMU, Duke, PSU, ND, Stanford, USC, Loyola, Hopkins etc...) There are approximately 22 commits... If you look at the Top 10 or so Academic schools that are not also Top Tier Lacrosse Programs (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Yale, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, Michigan, Cal etc...) There are approximately 18 commits.... These seem to be the most coveted schools/programs, they are great lacrosse programs or great schools or both. (yes, there are a lot of other great places but many on here would agree that these schools do not have a hard time finding kids that want to go to their school) So, we are at about 40 commits for approximately 200 spots... 20% Thats just for those schools, there are 90 other DI schools that offer women's lacrosse plus a lot of great DII and DIII opportunities . If I were to guess, we will see approximately 40 LI girls commit to those top lacrosse or top academic schools in total. This process takes a while, not everyone is offered the opportunity to commit in the first few weeks. Good luck to all.

Coaches have generally been great about waiting, but they won’t wait forever. Although several “top tier” recruits have committed, there are also a bunch that haven’t. That’s Whats mainly holding up the process

Coaches go back to the drawing board every time they lose a recruit and the elevate other players from “prospect” to “recruit”.

Wow to the parent of the kid with 4 offers! You must be exhausted from all those visits. It’s a LOT. But it must be a great problem to have. We are not in that boat!

Seems great, and we are truly blessed, but it’s very hard to decide on THE ONE! Pros and cons to all. I do believe a lot of spots will open up in about a month.

laxbytes.com shows 88 commits so far
and for the parent who boasted, I mean posted, about their kid having multiple offers...2 weeks is the standard amount of time someone has to accept an offer or not. If you're getting more than that, you're kid is really lucky.

Maybe it is less stressful because you are visiting and you know it’s because they want her? That wasn’t our experience— my daughter got the calls, went to visit, but it felt more like an audition and not a courtship. It’s a shame but on our end I think we will probably take a step back. It’s just not sustainable.

Agree. Plus Junior year is one of the more rigorous academics years for most students and all of these trips without production is both frustrating and deflating. At some point something has to give. I can see why some people wait a year.

It’s just not sustainable. I think you will find that some of the schools that had her visit, but didn't offer, will eventually start talking to her again. If they had her on an official visit, it most likely meant she was identified as a top recruit on their list, but they have a couple/few girls ranked ahead of her. If these girls commit elsewhere (some will, some won't) her value changes. I 100% know what you mean about the fatigue and feeling of audition. The coaches already know who they want before the girls arrive on campus, and I don't think (except in rare cases) that they change their minds during the visit. I know that on some of the visits my daughter went on, there were 5-8 girls. They also had 2 other visits. This means they potentially had 15 -20 girls on campus, but will likely recruit about 6-8. I also think that maybe 1-2 of those spots might be filled at camps and/or performance at the fall tournaments. It's a chess game, keep playing, and be smart!
