This tournament proved that if Maryland can't cheat, then they can't compete.

😂

Best team in the World is correct. There is no better U13 team in the world.

On the most even playing field with actual rules in place they beat everyone and played amazing. Absolutely the best U13 team in the world.

The best as U13 is defined this year. U13 meant something entirely different last year and will probably be different again next year.

Enjoy your trophy from a poorly attend weak tournament which many top teams avoid due to strange age cutoffs.

Maybe they should make the cutoff 7/1 rather than 9/1. Better competition & still U13.

Why are the age cutoff's "strange"? Please explain?

For others out there, I will translate this post:

"... which many top teams avoid due to strange age cutoffs." really means "... which many teams avoid due to it having age cutoffs"

last year age cutoff was 5/1, this year it was 9/1 (announced after most rosters already finalized), next year the cutoff is supposedly 1/1. Seems strange to me

It's sad that such a great event brings out the worst in people. My son competed this weekend in Denver. His team didn't do well but he had a blast. I don't know if he plays at the next level but we're not counting on a scholarship so it doesn't really matter. These are kids. It's a sport. It should be fun. For them.

4 kids born before 9/1. Only 1 of them before 5/1. You'll have to find another excuse for losing to them.

7 teams at WSYL are also doing Millon National Championship: LI Express, Diamondbacks, Igloo, T9-1, BBL, LegSee, & SoCal Express.
The top Maryland teams will be at Millon Championship as well: Hawks, T9-1MD, Bethesda (DC Express), Madlax, & Rough Riders.
Other teams are Palm Beach Revolution, Team Carolina, Triad, 3D NE, LI Outlaws, Superstar, Richmond Greyhounds, and CT Chargers.

Is this the first tournament to get the big 4 teams from Long Island together? Express, Igloo, T9-1, & Outlaws

Express look good or should I say 3 players (15,20, and Fogo 21) looked good and strangely never came off the field. 20 must have played 43 out of the 48 mins.. with a 7 goal lead you would think coach would give a few other middies a shot.

Agreed. Lacrosse about chemistry; the real 2022 team had great chemistry.

The "real" team is ineligible for this tournament

what does that mean?

The Real team is the one that plays together year round and plays in all tournaments but the wsyl one in Colorado which makes teams cut some kids and add others.

They had to keep their numbers up for a better contract next year and endorsement deals.

Just got back yesterday from the WSYL. What a great event, first class all the way. Made the kids feel like pro athletes. Yes it was expensive but well worth it. It's was also great to see kids the same age play against each other. If you have the chance, go to the tournament, it was awesome and my son's team didn't make the finals.

I also got to speak to some of the ESPN guys and they think it is crazy that Lacrosse a contact sport is not age based. Kudos to Quint for calling out the CRABS for not putting in a team.

9/1 is the cutoff because that is when school cutoff is in MD and most of the country. This also makes sure that is a U13 Tournament. Last year with a 5/1 cutoff was a joke. Most of the legggaaaccc kid were 14 at the WSYL. stick with the 9/1 date. At least that gives the MD/Penn kids a chance. got 1/1 than LI will always win.

Express Dominated in the Playoffs - FOGO was unstoppable. He went through 91, API and PT like a Hot Knife through butter. He is the reason they won. Would argue that 91 and PT are deeper but they never got the chance to show it. Played Defense the entire game.

It would be interesting to see who would win if there were no faceoffs after every goal.

Dude, you have no idea what you are talking about. The Express kid is a stud. Did you hear the Express Coach? He said the kid starting taking F/Os three months ago. HE HAS BEEN TRAINING AT FOs for THREE MONTHS and killed it. BTW, he comes from a very athletic family. Pretty sure you never played in the NFL; his Dad did. Yes NFL, not the NLF.

What a moronic statement...what is your definition of "close"?
Outlaws lost to Express by 1 goal at Laxfest and 1 goal to Igloo at Blatant. Sometimes they play well sometimes not so well.. inconsistent is how I would describe them. But enough with the not even close BS.

Always has to be the Dad? Sorry, that guy has no reason to brag about his son. Kid did it on the field in front of a national audience. My son plays for 91, different year. Unlike you, I appreciate what this kid accomplished and am happy for him. Your jealousy is pathetic. You, and your little fogo are scared of what this kid will become. Sorry pal, your future plans have major problems.

HE HAS BEEN TRAINING AT FOs for THREE MONTHS and killed it. BTW, he comes from a very athletic family. Pretty sure you never played in the NFL; his Dad did. Yes NFL, not the NLF.

Thanks for the update dad, let me know when your son beats a good kid. Anyone would look good against that weak competition.

Is Dad a bench warmer?

Actually Express true FOGO who takes all the FOs during the AA games over the past 3 years didn't make the trip because why, is is too old? But wait, its only the MD teams that have kids older than 9/1, so I read! Can't wait to see who starts next weekend at Millon's "true" National tournament, my guess is the kid that plays against true AA competition and not the Denver joke of a tournament!
