The NLF is a direct reflection of all that. The day the kids on those teams ever have to disclose their birthdates and play against kids their own age is not happening soon.

I made this exact point on another age board - it will happen eventually, bit the question is whether it will be reactively based upon an injury and insurance companies insist upon age-based play in order to obtain coverage at reasonable rates versus a proactive change before such an injury occurs. I also am surprised insurance carriers aren't pushing that now considering the inherent risk the current system presents - they could seriously milk the current system with ridiculously high rates versus offering much lower rates for the alternative age-based approach. Obviously, competition will determine where that goes, but that means that it will likely take a severe injury, and more likely, a wrongful death suit, to bring about this from the carrier POV.

Let's hope sense overcomes everything else

I think the directors could end all of this nonsense. Watching boys two heads larger than others physically beat kids is ridiculous. Are we waiting till a major injury occurs? It sure seems that way, everyone turns a blind eye to it all. Is it cheating NO but it is really stretching the rules in an embarrassing fashion. It was a hot topic on our sideline this week and many of our parents expressed our displeasure on many levels with the older boy who "may be " a 2023 or 2021 or 2022 playing with our express team

Not at all hopeful

Team 11 is really bad. You can see their results at the NXT League, they do have super cool helmets though.

It used to be - the most hated teams were the ones that pumped their chest & bragged when they won a tournament , now the chest pumpers are the teams that almost won a tournament. Whether you win or lose try and show a little class, just shut up & let the game results speak for themselves . Stop making & teaching your kids how to make excuses.

There are playing in the A division of that tournament.

Just because it is the A division, doesn't make it an A tournament, you tell me if this is competitive, from tourney machine:

Pool 1
Team 11 - Never heard of them
Laker Future 5/6 - Never heard of them, but a 5/6 team
Mad Dog 2023 - B level Jersey team
Team 91 Bandits

Pool 2
Phoenix Lacrosse - NJ team
Summit Future 5/6 - NJ Township team
2Way 2023 - May have heard of them, not sure if any good
Thunder Elite 2023 - B Level Jersey team

What about the teams in the other 2023 bracket, any info on any of them, thanks.

The Recon team from here on LI is a B+ team, E3 is average, the other teams I have not heard of.

Now that you have bashed 91 & Express - here is a thought - maybe next year they should pass on the NLF tournament & play in the prestigious Andy Forsberg tournament & play in the four team pool against the likes of NJ Riot & NJ Riot North.

Surprised sankey associates his name to a really bad team unless it's a money grab and he doesn't care.

What is the NXT league? Who played in it?

Let's see if I can explain this to you. Any club that runs a tournament ( 91 , Express , Outlaws etc. ) all take advantage in pool play. It's always set up for the top 3 or 4 teams to meet each other in the playoffs . Sometimes it doesn't out that way ex. LAX Fest.
Why would they play each other sooner? The top 3 teams have already played each other to competitive games this year & I'm sure they will see each other in the playoffs. It is done this way in every sport.

Are they afraid they wont win in pool play and not make the playoff bracket. Sounds to me they have no confidence in playing the best teams. After all Express lost to Lax Black during the NLF. So lets beat up on their yellow team. Please.

LAX Black , Shore to Shore & Express have played each other several times over the past 2 years all winning some & losing some but always good competitive games & respect for each other without the stupidity that has been seen on this site this past week. Good luck to all the teams this weekend.

Forsberg is a charity tournament. So is JDRF and others. To say such a thing is a discrace. The lacrosse community has always been very charitable. This new generation of lacrosse dads who never played the game have a lot more to learn to teach kids there is more to life than winning a lacrosse tournament. I pity your kid.

The only surprise will be how far S2S has fallen in a single season. They lost to the worst team at NLF and barely beat the second worst.

I guess some will use the lacrosse world to reach a goal and have no intention on giving back in any way. It is amazing that some programs join charity events and they should be applauded. Teach your kids the right thing and to give to lacrosse and not use it in a selfish way. True story -- a player at an Ivy league school came back to his home town and was offered to be paid to be a trainer for a week long town lacrosse clinic. He did work the clinic but refused to be paid saying that he wants to give back to the community and sport that did so much for him. Reading these post It appears parents are teaching kids to drain the lacrosse world to maximize selfish benefits. Teams you must keep joining charity events and teach your kids to give back. The parents who did play college lacrosse will understand this post that this was always a tight lacrosse community that gives back. We can only hope it continues.

The scary part is that he or she is so ignorant that it doesn't even enter their brain to consider who Andy Forsberg was or what that tournament or the JDRF event is about. They're concerned about the "prestige" their sons 6th grade team gets from from winning games "important" tournaments. What a sad existence.

I feel sorry for you that you have nothing better to do on a beautiful Saturday than to look up the schedule of a team on which your son obviously does not play.

That team can't catch a break on here. If they played in 2023 you would be talking about them beating up on B teams. So they probably saw the bracket and moved to 2022 for a bit of competition and you still have something to say. I can only assume you were once on the team and still have a chip on your shoulder. Either that or you really had nothing to do on this beautiful summer day than see where other teams are playing. Go have a catch with your son.

Legacy's BM making no improvements. Congrats AJ for delivering. We appreciate your coaching.
Outlaws should drop down to the B bracket where they belong. It looks like the team has gotten worse and worse every year we play them.

ALL I am going to say is that lacrosse needs to go to age not year of graduation. Not complaining but the men that were playing on the 2023 laxblack team should feel good that they won the t-shirt and beat 11 and 12 year olds. Someone is going to get hurt!. The cross check that lifted the logo up by his neck was disgraceful........ Keep telling yourself that your son just finished 6th grade

Express beat Laxachusettes?

Has anyone asked for your opinion? Worry about your own kid and keep your nasty, demeaning remarks about who should play where, or if any other team should drop down a division. Didn't beat Laxachusettes DID YOU!!!! BOO HOO. Bunch of self righteous [lacrosse]holes.
