He is a 2023 playing up on 2022 team.

Yes, he's a 2023; however, he's a holdback and would be one of the older 2022's. Furthermore, he's not on the 2023 Express roster because he's not part of the team. He's on the 2022 roster. Spin it any way you want, he's not on the team.

That boy is a former 2021 went to a catholic school etc. everyone knows then shows up on our sideline this weekend. The rest is history just read back 5 pages

I made this exact point on another age board - it will happen eventually, bit the question is whether it will be reactively based upon an injury and insurance companies insist upon age-based play in order to obtain coverage at reasonable rates versus a proactive change before such an injury occurs. I also am surprised insurance carriers aren't pushing that now considering the inherent risk the current system presents - they could seriously milk the current system with ridiculously high rates versus offering much lower rates for the alternative age-based approach. Obviously, competition will determine where that goes, but that means that it will likely take a severe injury, and more likely, a wrongful death suit, to bring about this from the carrier POV.

Let's hope sense overcomes everything else

I think the directors could end all of this nonsense. Watching boys two heads larger than others physically beat kids is ridiculous. Are we waiting till a major injury occurs? It sure seems that way, everyone turns a blind eye to it all. Is it cheating NO but it is really stretching the rules in an embarrassing fashion. It was a hot topic on our sideline this week and many of our parents expressed our displeasure on many levels with the older boy who "may be " a 2023 or 2021 or 2022 playing with our express team

weird thing is many of these tournaments are covered by US lacrosse insurance yet US lacrosse rules are very different than the NO rules tournaments. That seems like an issue right there! Forget about this past weekend on LI the tournaments with out of state teams are even more revealing

So when you play your full roster you don't win. Doesn't sound like your talent runs deep which means any injuries on your first lines the team will collapse.

TB has improved and will continue to! Everyone has a lot to say then when the results start to show there are other factors that come in. Attacking our coach etc

Appreciate your concern for the Bandits but you really should worry about your own kids team. Maybe there is opening in the tournament for your kids team - give them a call.

So we can run over 5/6 township teams? I'd be pissed if I had to give up a weekend and spend money on a hotel for that. But whatever floats your bandit boat. Name one team at that tournament that will even pose a remote challenge?

Just because it is the A division, doesn't make it an A tournament, you tell me if this is competitive, from tourney machine:

Pool 1
Team 11 - Never heard of them
Laker Future 5/6 - Never heard of them, but a 5/6 team
Mad Dog 2023 - B level Jersey team
Team 91 Bandits

Pool 2
Phoenix Lacrosse - NJ team
Summit Future 5/6 - NJ Township team
2Way 2023 - May have heard of them, not sure if any good
Thunder Elite 2023 - B Level Jersey team

There are far more people against the current system than for it. Even a modified age restriction but anything eliminating over age players

It's actually an interesting conversation because we were saying this past weekend why are we playing TB , 91 warriors, empire, kings etc. all B teams instead of the HHH tournament that the top teams were at and in defense of the clubs the schedules are made in the winter time months ahead so no one knows til Sometimes it's too late

My point was not confrontational. It was more that clubs sign up for tournaments and they put themselves in A or B and they have no control over who else signs up

So tourney machine has an app, where you can search a tournament (takes less than a minute) and then about a minute to type the 8 teams playing in response to a point that the bandits were playing in the A division. Maybe your life shouldn't be spent at a hotel in NJ watching little Johnny playing against inferior lacrosse teams. I have looked at alot of the other tournaments that the AA teams are playing, there is at least some form of competition at those....

Team 11 is Joey Sankey's team that he started last year. Bandits might average 30 goals a game

Absolutely agree. There are some tournaments you expect to see certain teams at and you don't but like you said these clubs put their schedules out way early and you just don't know who else is playing and who you are playing until the schedule comes out. Lax Fest has never been considered a B tournament and I don't think any of the above mentioned teams are B teams. Maybe not on the same playing field as bandits or igloo but all good A- B+ whatever you wanna call them teams.

Before all of the TB parents get hysterical. Let's take a look at what happened: in pool play you beat Pioneer Kings (never heard of them) and the Express B team. You lost to Empire (definitely not an A team) and got hammered by Express A 13-5. You were losing in the final 6-1. Do you think maybe Express A took you lightly considering the beating they put on you in pool play. Obviously that didn't play out as expected because you made a come back but let's not make this more than it is. You went 3-3 in the tourney and would lose 10 out of 10 games against Express and the 4 other A teams. Sorry, but you are still a B team...

Not sure if its just me - but I have a son on a very good LI travel team. B+/A- . I root for all LI teams to do well, every weekend. And if we lose to one of them, we root for them to win it all. Leave this idiotic lunacy of who is the best to the parents, and enjoy the kids rooting for those we live around.

The point is JS is making money off it with a kickback or some other "goodwill". Everything revolves around JS and what is good for him or his ego.

So a "B"team takes an "A" team into overtime or braveheart so if the B isn't an A then the A must be a B team. Just give credit and move on. You wanted to blow TB out and rub it in our face and you can't do now it's "your still a B".

Pretty sad that if we (TB) are a B team you needed a 14yearold to beat us as well as a new program in Empire

There are playing in the A division of that tournament.

What about the teams in the other 2023 bracket, any info on any of them, thanks.

Agreed the hatred is actually tiresome. Everyone is worried about everyone else bashing anyone but themselves

The NLF is a direct reflection of all that. The day the kids on those teams ever have to disclose their birthdates and play against kids their own age is not happening soon.

Think it could happen but would take people banding together or God forbid a serious injury with an older boy injuring a younger boy safety issue

Team 11 is Joey Sankey's team that he started last year. Bandits might average 30 goals a game

Are they any good? I assume by your comment of 30 goals on avg then probably not or at least not compared to the bandit.s.
