A few pages back RECON was talking of being included with the AA teams - an ok team but they are not close to joining that group...

Highly doubtful this was written by an S2S parent, GC34 had a practice at the Hub at the same time, maybe one of their parents wandered over to watch and thought it was something more than what it was: a 7v7 indoor scrimmage on March 1st. Doesn't mean anything other than a good run for both teams.

That GC kid is really short. If I was his dad I'd re-class him to 2nd grade and nobody would know.

Stop beating around the Bush and just say it. Otherwise zip it. And if they did make that claim, I would hope you would've been smart enough to not believe it. Nothing against them but no one's making a jump from b to a like that.

Express and S2S dominated the Brine. There are going to be some great games this summer.

What exactly does "first example of a team created around a strong group of players" mean in reference to S2S? Don't all teams try to create a team around a strong group of players. Not being sarcastic but are you implying that no other team has a "strong group" of players?

This is a typical S2S parents' thought process. Take a good team, dissolve it, start a new team, pretend to be original. Smh. Let me know how the Rhode Island Classic goes. Should be some really steep competition.

Why no Outlaws? Heard it's a new team with better players than last year.

You guys realize that there is no "team" at this age, right? This is one of the biggest wastes of money in lacrosse. Spend $150 to possibly get selected to spend another $700 (plus airfare and hotel and food) to participate in a 3 day camp in Florida in July? No thanks, I'll pass. Plus, the team is chosen by the Express directors.

That's why it was only Express and S2S. They're the only ones dumb enough to do this before 9th grade (when there are actually teams and games),

S2S is just one team, not a program. Assemblage of 32, RVC, Icon, Express, etc.

i think you'll start to see some towns with multiple teams maybe dropping teams. Starting to see some of the less invested/less serious kids dropping the sport. Looks like out town is dropping a team. Should make the remaining stronger though.

We've seen pictures of players from our town who were in the 6th grade last year playing for badgers. Lost credibility in my eyes if u need to bring in kids a year older what's the point

He's correct. There are no games until the boys get to high school (9th grade). Until then it's pretty much a waste of time. Unless you wanted to go to inland Florida at the end of July and deal with 95 degree temperatures with 99% humidity. Wait a few years until it actually means something.

Do you mean the two hold backs who reclassified? Yes they are older but technically on grade because they are repeating 6th grade. This is why lax should adopt age-based rosters like soccer and hockey. Otherwise you encourage hold backs. And with recruiting starting sooner, you'll see reclass happening earlier and earlier.

Hopefully NCAA votes mid April to shut the door on early recruiting and this hold back/reclassified garbage becomes less prevalent.

Brine was good. Talented kids there and yes the Express kids and S2S kids stood out. Shouldn't they though? Two very good teams with talent. Other kids stood out as well, especially the tall kid from prime time. Good workout.
