Sure they could. Hawks could have played in the tournament. Or they could have played with their actual roster without the guest players.

Yep, they brought in 2 players from the Crabs and still couldn't win.

My son's STEPS team does. They couldn't have played worse this weekend(for them) and lost 3-2 to United and beat fl$...

The complaining of tournament was right between the post of smash losing and parents cheering against team that beat them. Are you saying maybe it was a random non smash parent that jumped in middle of those posts to make excuses randomly? I guess it's possible.

1) why would any parent want their kid to play on a team that brings in guest players?

2) don't the parents of guest players feel embarrassed that precious bumped a kid that's been practicing with the team since last fall? How do they stand on the sidelines with parents who have been there all year?

No one was too thrilled about it. I know for a fact that 88+3 MD flew in a kid from Texas. So everyone does it.

no you are wrong. Garden City was a pure 2022 team with no 'guest' players. United and Igloo too, from what our son tells us. Express, Smash, Hawks, Diamondbacks all great teams but not pure rosters.

it depends what environment you want your son in. there is no right or wrong but there should be a way to keep the playing field even when some of the players are twice as big as others.

expect to see a lot of different helmets at various tryouts this year, and a lot more teams stepping to compete at the highest level.

Pick your team and stay with same kids the whole year. Win and lose as a team. Bringing in guest players is wrong and parents that accept it should be embarrassed. Wont say anything because your too afraid that your son will get cut in August. Funny!
