This is an interesting debate. On the one hand, Igloo has been the best 2021 team and seems to have added talent with an eye towards the WSL. How will they not get invites to the best tournaments over the next couple years? Will their players really not get showcase spots? Maybe not.
When one looks at the 2019 early commits and even the 2018 commits, they are concentrated among a remarkably small number of clubs. Either these clubs attract the best players in the country or college coaches are "efficient, to put it nicely, in how they evaluate and recruit talent or, perhaps, rely on or follow the recommendations of club coaches.
It's insane to think that the entire recruiting circus for 2021's may start in less than 12 months, if not earlier, and in any event in about 18 months.
