Good play day with the "Big 3" over the weekend. Didn't see too much "me ball" from any team. Good competition all the way around.

SW parents might question the "me ball". Lots of heads down, going to the goal.

Since they get talked about so little, I will bring up defenses. I thought the defenses of each team at the UM play day looked great. No team was able to really run up the score. There were definitely some standouts, one with great speed getting the ball up field. For the most part though, the defenses seemed on par with each other. I was impressed with some of the middies ability to play D as well. Any opinions?

I wonder who you are talking about ? Could it be an attacker and a mile high friend ?

It is so unnecessary. It is toxic parents on the team creating such unnecessary drama heading into the biggest summer of the season for these girls. If the "me ball" was as bad as you want an anonymous forum to believe, the coaches would be seeing it and doing something about it. Every parent will always believe a player holds onto the ball longer than she should, especially if that parent's kid is wide open. Get over it. You are not the one on the field playing. If your PLAYER feels the "me ball" is a problem, tell your PLAYER to go talk to the coach so that you can stop your tantrums on an online forum.

Parents are usually the problem, not the players

Teammates love the ME ball players. Every team has them and coaches allow them to force , crash and fall too much.

Any reason why the top 3 (Spallina, CLC B and M&D Black) are in three different brackets this weekend? Coincidence?

Doesn’t Spallina usually drop out of LLL?

That and Summer Genesis two of the last three years. Assuming it depends on how many of his players he is missing from States

WHO CARES?! Do you want to watch a YJ vs M&D matchup for the 567th time, or do you want to watch new matchups? Good God you will find anything to complain about every tournament. If they were all in the same bracket, you would complain about that too!

Exactly. They will play each other at some point, maybe even more than once. But we don't need it every tournament.
