Gladiator Lacrosse is looking for another goalie for our 2017 team. The Gladiators are based in Smithtown, NY and are entering their second season. They played in the Oyster Bay Lacrosse League last Spring and just finished up the Lighthouse Lacrosse League this Fall. They will be playing and practicing indoors starting in January 2012. The Gladiators will be competing in the Oyster Bay Lacrosse League again in the spring, and the full tournament circuit into the Summer. They are a good team, played them in Lighthouse. The blog on the Fall Finals in NJ says they lost the championship game by one goal to a U15 team. Are they looking for any mids?

At this time we're not looking for any mids - just a goalie. The Gladiators have a very aggressive schedule planned for the Spring and Summer and would like to add a goalie to help share the load. A lot of clubs play a limited schedule and this is an opportunity to play with a very competitive 7th grade team. Any plans for a 2018 team next year?

No plans at this time. We want to build a strong program by focusing on our 5th and 7th grade teams for the 2012 season.

ATTENTION GOALIES: The Gladiators are still looking for a goalie. The Gladiators are an independent team that operates as a not for profit organization. This allows us to provide more lacrosse for much less cost than every other program out there. We play every game with the same roster and never allow walk-ons or ringers. The team is coached by former Delaware Blue Hen, John Rowan - who is well known in LI lacrosse circles.
