Are these tryouts to fill positions on B/C teams ?

This is a first tryout for the older age groups and a make-up/second tryout for the younger age groups.

players from the first tryout have already been notified of their team assignments, so this might be to fill in the lower teams.

Probably unless there is a stud out there.

I believe 2019 a and b (green and blue) are all set. Yellow probably needs players

Please note speculating on information you do not have is wrong. Tryouts are being held, and positions are open on ALL teams. For those of you who have decided there are "C" teams, you are wrong, there are not.

Is it a secret? Why in the world would you have to email a director to find out who is coaching a team?

The head coach for 2020 Blue is a coach from Sachem named Calabria. Rich Erb and Betcher are the assistants again this year. Mike Taylor took a step back from coaching this team so he could coach his sons team. Makes sense, why coach a team without your kid on it. He oversees all the teams. I heard this Blue team lost 3 of their best players.

I think calabria is the head of syosset high school. If I'm not mistaken, nassau county finalist last year....... Might have even won the nassau county championship on his class....

Anyone hear from club regarding tryouts on the 21st. They said 10-14 days notice which seemed like a long time. I am guessing power outages haven't helped matters.

I've been told that there are power issues regarding getting information out on the tryouts.... They will be in touch.
