Coastal is an indoor facility in hauppauge. I'm still wondering where they practice in the spring and summer...

Winter indoor practices start Jan-March at Coastal Indoor Sports in Hauppauge and Spring weekly outdoor practices are at Breezy Park in Huntington from Mid March-July.

We practice at Breezy Field in Huntington.

I understand Threshers is looking to form two NEW teams in each the 2018 and 2019 age group. Doesn't sound like they are going through this process to fill one or two slots per team.

They had a 2018 team this summer. I sure some or most of those kids will be back. We will have to see how they deal with two teams in age group. I saw this last year with another team that expanded at the age group and new kids came in and some of the original kids were dropped to "B" team. Nothing wrong with that, the new kids were better players but the parents of original kids probably won't see it that way. If you want to expand your talent pool there will always be friction from the original members.

Does anyone know if they play in any league's or is it just tournament team?

These 2 tryout dates are most definitely OPEN for competition. All positions are available not just a couple of spots. We do not only look for the best talent but more importantly young men that listen, want to learn, commitment to team play and above all want to be coached. We strive to have fun above everything, while learning the GAME and how it should be played from the goal to the attack.
