Maryland (12-3) earned the top seed in the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Tournament, as announced Sunday night on ESPNU. The Terps will host the winner of Wednesday’s play-in game between Canisius (MAAC AQ, 8-8) and Robert Morris (NEC AQ, 12-4).

As for the ever-shrinking bubble, Villanova (10-5) made the cut over teams like Ohio State, Rutgers and Bucknell.

Albany (14-2) is the No. 2 seed and will face Richmond (SoCon AQ, 11-5) in the NCAA First Round.

The top eight seeds will host their NCAA First Round games. After Maryland and Albany, they include: No. 3 Yale, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Johns Hopkins, No. 6 Loyola, No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 8 Syracuse.

The First Round and Quarterfinals will be on ESPNU, and the Semifinals and Championship will be on ESPN2. Maryland feeds into the Annapolis Quarterfinal bracket, while Albany feeds into the Long Island bracket.
