Dumb question but is this tournament open to boys? It's being run by Stony Brook Women's Lacrosse but it doesn't specify if it's a girls only tournament.

I think it's pretty safe to assume it's just for girls, but that's a pet peeve of mine - tournament flyers rarely specify gender and you're left to guess.

It is for girls only.
Is this geared more toward town teams or travel teams
They are having different brackets We have our town team in and then my daughters travel team is in as well. It's a play day so there is no championship.
does anyone know the age brackets for the tourney? for example, is there 5th/6th grade combined teams or just 5th?

This is what I received from Joe Spallina:

"It will depend on the amount of teams. Ideally we want to keep each grade together unless a team has a desire to pay up a grade. If a team has mixed it is something that we'll help each team navigate through. It's a play date not a championship so we want everyone to have a nice experience."
On the flyer it says instructional. Does this mean their gonna stop play and talk about situational rules and strategies or is the games gonna flow? Just trying to get a feel of what type of tournament this is.

In the past they had a break between games and ran the SB girls through a short practice. Seeing the speed up close blew me away. The games flowed like any other tournament.

The day will flow but there will be instructional clinics that will go on throughout the day Offensive defensive stick work shooting footwork etc
That seems pretty smart to me. Kids have fun a maybe learn a little.
Is there a 2023 bracket? Who's playing in this?
When will they release a schedule for this tournament?
