91 shelters their teams from any possible losses at the young ages. It works for them, but people starting to see through it.

legacy beat igloo and rebels over the fall, but we all know teams change. i heard rebels picked up a few kids, igloo lost a few. 91 played in their own tournaments without playing the other three.

I agree. Several post I made criticizing them have not been published. Moderators are volunteers. My theory is that certian moderators are affiliated with them and refuse to approve posts critical of them.

There are some MD teams and PA teams that can run with the Long Island teams. Also Orange Crush 2030 May be the best team in the country.

hows the pal season going for your boys. Seems like that a bracket has some tough competition.

100% agree and have seen it many time on the women's lacrosse thread when being critical of a certain team, have even seen posts removed. We are not talking about attacking children here, we are talking about legit criticism of an organization and or college coach / program. Some of the moderators definitely have an agenda.

91 Cyclones top 30 team by far. Best Igloo and smoked Rebels. Legacy afraid to play. Team has top 3 players at age group. Coaching staff top notch

Seriously. Their 9, unless you held your kid back! They don't have hair there yet!! I went through this with a bunch of dad's when my daughter was young. Enjoy it all now because everything changes in 7/8 grade buddy!

Igloo bears Rebels few times all by one goals. Rebels have not lost a game besides vs igloo and have beaten other top teams from kid Atlantic. Igloo has lost to some of those teams.

Will be interesting to see rematch between the teams with long poles allowed, not sure if it makes difference will always be a good game- and that’s good for all boys on both teams!

Is this just a LI chat? Orange Crush 2030 just showed how good they are. Won multiple tourneys last summer. Dominated this fall and now a great showing against top LI programs.

Orange Crush 2030 is a great team, maybe the best in the age group.
I saw them play against a Philly team, Duke’s Elite I think, and they were really skilled, tremendous field awareness…both teams actually. Going to be fun watching those kids continue to develop.

That kid keeps moving because his dad keeps wearing out his welcome everywhere he goes.

Legacy is more then good! Have have of the best players at age group on LI. Beat Igloo and Rebels and have a legit shot at beat Cyclones.

Not necessarily, Legacy coaches are playing Daddy ball. Bunch of players not happy and will be leaving soon.

My lollipop tourney sat in Hudson has a total of 23 boys teams(all ages) never seen such a pathetic tourney. Well maybe last weeks summer flop on island. Those few clubs doing should rethink these payday tourneys. Of coarse 91 and empire in attendance.

Especially when there best kids are leaving…

Rebels I am sure will be looking to add pieces to compete with 91 on consistent basis.

Legacy hear losing lots of kids, where will they replace from if no one leaves 91/Rebels (why would they?)

Igloo needs to make some changes, but again where do they get pieces from.

Thinking 91/Rebels grab top kids from Igloo/Legacy/Tier 3 and Igloo/Legacy make some replacements from kids cut from top 2, or kids on tier 3 looking for jump.

Yes I have too much time on my hands but when we see these teams over and over again can make some good analysis / predictions. Thoughts ?

S2S had a chance, but now that all the Port coaches and connection left ... not looking good for the future there. Yeah just looked through went about 2-24 this weekend at JC as a club... Understand they are mostly B teams, but were playing mostly B teams as well

The rebels played in a no name lollipop tournament in the 2030-2031 bracket. the 30-31 bracket! don't try and pull out of states are older. not on jersey and PA town teams at the lehigh laxfest.

older kids play on the Maryland teams, like who 91, igloo, and legacy were playing in the NAL tournament. keep trying to pump your rebel program with worthless wins at no name tournaments. i'd rather lose to a top team from maryland than blow out a nobody any day of the week.

I have to throw some love to Dukes Elite out of Philly. Saw them last weekend and they beat S2S Stingray, 91 Lion, a pretty good Annapolis Hawks team in route to sweeping 5 teams for championship. Still like to see them step out and play LI teams. They LOOK like they would match up well with Rebels who I’ve also seen a couple times.

Or Rebels could’ve stepped out and went to Maryland to play instead of going to Pa. to play 2030/31 town teams.

They must pay the marketing team well. On every message board promoting.

Come to Rebels. You’ll be on the AAA team (with 30 other kids). They leave out the part where your kid will ride the bench every tournament. Careful what you pay for.

I saw them play and I wasn't impressed with that competition S2S was terrible and Hawks only have one guy that can take it to goal. Didn't see 91 play so can't say much about them.

91 and Kelly Post were pretty good…91 was better. Think I saw that Duke’s Elite will be playing at the Millon Invitational, gonna be some really good competition there.

Whether Rebels should have gone to Lehigh to play instead of DE is a matter of debate and those who argue they should have have a valid point BUT although Rebels was in a grouping of 30-31 teams the 3 teams they beat en route to finals- SJ Shamrocks, Blue Star, and NXT, are not “town teams” and all are respectable, if not quite on level of Rebels or 91, CLUB teams. All three of those teams were 2030 kids only. Blue Star and NXT have 2031 teams that played in different division. I watched the Rebels/NXT game while waiting for my sons game to start after and the game was closer than score at least in first quarter. They were obviously more disciplined and better coaches than NXT but they weren’t all that more athletic or gifted. They would have probably benefited from going to DE instead but I’m thankful they came to Lehigh so that they those of us from Philadelphia and Jersey who rarely get to see teams from LI could get an up close look and see just how far teams from this area have to go to improve to that level of play.

NXT 2030 is not very good.

Rebels 2030 team is just fine. They are coached extremely well, and parents I talk to from other programs see that. Expect a big turnout for the 2030 Rebels team and if they add the right pieces/depth and make the difficult decisions to replace some kids, mix that with the coaching and it will be a top top team. I mean they are already beating teams they shouldn't...

Anybody on Preds or 2W on here? Just wondered how people compared the two programs and which one the kids seem to like better?

Can’t really speak to your year in particular. Both good programs with excellent training but 2W seems to be the better of the two but they use more holdbacks (I think) in the older age groups. 2W runs a lot of their own programs and has done the WSYL in the past; thus they have a much larger National presence.

Yes very impressive. Those coaches do a lot with a light roster, if they get deeper think they cement in the top 10 nationally. Either way beating Orange Crush is no easy task. They are easily a top 3-5 team in the country.

Rebels did not win their tournament. The only tournament they won was the one with a few 2031 teams in their bracket.

Their “national” 2030 team is playing this up coming weekend also against teams that are 30/31 combos.

The organization is a smoke screen.

The 2030 team has slowly been taken over by a few a dads who favor their own kids while other kids watch from the sidelines. Plenty of players running away from that team.

Where is this knowledge coming from? You are so misinformed. There is one dad coach who coaches each and every boy on that sideline. The other two coaches don’t have any kids on the team. These coaches are actually some of the most well-rounded I’ve seen and/or heard about. They are about player development on and off the field. They put in a lot of time with our boys and are developing team players who love the game and want to be the best. Yes, they lost in the semi-finals to a national team but it seems as if the outside parents care more about our wins and losses than the coaches and players do. Get a grip. These are 10 year olds who are on a team that is doing what they should…developing and growing while loving the game. It’s all a parent can ask for for their child. Stop hating and focus on your own kids.

2Way 2030 won Hershey this weekend impressive wins v Madlax (13-2), Igloo (7-6) in semi and Bethesda (10-6) in Championship. All 4 teams went 3-1 in round robin - terrific weekend of lax and boys had fun too!

That was a really good tournament, fun place for the boys, with great competition for the 2030s…congrats!

Question. My sons team was played in the 2030 division at NXT Cup last weekend that was won by Nationals. A couple parents questioned the fairness of national select teams being in tournaments playing against teams that aren’t. This being my sons first year in travel I don’t know enough to have an opinion either way. Nationals 2030 wasn’t really challenged the entire tournament and their 6-1 win over Rebels in semis looked easy. Thoughts on this??

Welcome to the majority of club lacrosse tourneys.

You want to play against the best. Only way kids get better. Is it fair? Probably not but most of club lacrosse is not fair. In the end, especially in high school, club really doesnt mean all that much. Don't count W and L's. Focus on development, enjoy the games. and don't take club too seriously. National teams are the trend just like reclassing and its hear to stay.

Igloo looks like they played 2Way the toughest - beating them by 1 and losing by 1. They also lost a close one to Dukes Elite.

Thought Bethesda would give 2Way a better game but great tourney in Hershey all around for the 2030s.

Actually it’s more than one person that’s a fan of Dukes and the previous comment does have a point. They have some legit wins, are pretty deep, and are coached. Are they in same class as most LI and MD teams?? Not yet. But they’re not a bad team.

I see Orange Crush won the G8, nice work! Took down 2Way, BBL Nat AND the Rebels, whom if memory serves, is the greatest program on the Island (a team that will play anyone, anywhere, any place, unless it’s at this G8 tourney, cuz they went 0-3)

In G8 tourney 6 of the last 7 games were decided by 1 goal - 2030's are lucky to have so many competitive teams - makes for terrific lax! Have an older son and back in the day players gravitated to Express and 91 and there would be little competition which really stinks especially if your kid plays defense and just stands there the whole game - ha - enjoy the summer everyone!

Now I’ve seen it all. 2030 legacy smacks 2029 B legacy in the semifinals at blatant. A new low, expect low tryout turnouts. That about sums up legacy. 2030 can not beat any li AA teams, so they whip there own. Run Run away. Tz is a toxic, back stabbing, bad, bad half of Man.

Club doesn’t mean that much in HS?? Unless you’re playing at St Anthonys/ Chaminade… where else are you going to get seen by college coaches? Club teams help you get into the best showcases and the good clubs coaches/directors have good relationships with college coaches.

Yes there is, wait and see. One team going to be loaded with kids coming from all clubs including 91. Cyclone parents feed up with coaches. It’s all about there kids. Cyclones will not be #1 come fall. It will be club with over 150 kids trying out.
