Old man Lacrosse Team: Wanted all 40 plus men that would like to pick up a stick, put on the gear and play some Lax. Haven't picked up a stick in 20 years? So what. Feel you are too old for this type of thing? You're probably right. Played in High School late 70's early 80's and still miss it? Maybe you went on and played in college? When you watch your kids play don't you wish you could do it again? Well you can!! Have a desire to get out there and throw the rock around but you thought "Thats Ridiculous".
Well it's not, there are two over 40 leagues on LI and alot more around the country. In any event, I am starting a team for a night summer league. Games are played during the week, Season starts in July and there are 8 regular season games plus playoffs. Games are generally at 8 or 9pm Cantiaque park or Mitchel Field. I think right now there are 8 teams. If I get enough of a response I will look into practice space. I do not know how much the costs are going to be But I'm sure with a 20 man roster it will be pretty cheap, I'm thinkin around 200 for everything. Hopefully less. Why should the kids have all the fun!!!
