Not a total waste. Definitely over priced for what it was.
Just some feedback. The weather was nice yesterday. I wonder if they considered moving outside for 10v10. I think it’s correct to plan for indoor, because there could be a foot of snow. But maybe have the outside option.
Showcase was good. Well organized. Kids got a lot of reps in front of some good D2/3 scouts and my son has already received 3 emails from coaches there and also watching.

Are sophomores allowed to be notified by email at their age.

No, But allow the dad to feel good about himself. Just by what he said, he will support his son attending any school, as long as the kid plays Lax. He'll return home to his childhood bedroom in 4 years with a man bun, coaching youth Lax for some travel team

Is that what happened to you?
This was good if your kid is a middie or attack. If your kid was a goalie or d then not much good for coaches. These kids could basically shoot from half field at this age on such a small field so the goalies got peppered. Not to say they didn't play good but they didn't stand a chance. Also all the D's want to run up and score for some reason. Their parents should tell them that coaches want to see D's stop people, not score from 10 feet which they will rarely get a chance to do in a real game on a full field.

If you think a college coach sat there and spent valuable time watching this so-called showcase, I'll have a bridge to sell you.

That’s a ridiculous statement. The showcase was well ran with great coaches in attendance and watching and I can personally say my son received 2 emails so far from schools watching.

I was there, there was at least 10 coaches who did sit there and watched the whole time.

It's people like you who just come on here and make these ridiculous statements. I was there and saw college coaches observe and take notes until the end.

Their parents should tell them that coaches want to see D's stop people, not score from 10 feet which they will rarely get a chance to do in a real game on a full field.

If you think a college coach sat there and spent valuable time watching this so-called showcase, I'll have a bridge to sell you.

I was there, there was at least 10 coaches who did sit there and watched the whole time.

It's people like you who just come on here and make these ridiculous statements. I was there and saw college coaches observe and take notes until the end.

I am a coach and I can speak on behalf of my program and a plethora of others who have found dark horses during the day and are still actively recruiting. Would love to know why a parent is skeptical about us coaches recruiting at this event?

Ok dad lol
Why are people so negative? Some of the parents on here are miserable and always so mean spirited. If a kid played in this showcase or any other, good for them. Just because your son didnt play, it doesnt diminish the event or him as a player. If a player is good enough, they will be found. I am constantly amazed by the negativity of some of you. If you dont have something nice to say then try and say nothing.

If you are really a coach who attends this event, just curious about your take on the way the players play at these events. Is it really helpful to watch players compete against their own teammates as well as the other team? This one for example was whomever got the ball ended up shooting. Often times even goalies. I'm guessing in a game if they played the same way on a big field they wouldn't be on the field long and would spend alot of time getting knocked to the ground holding on to the ball that long.
Being their I can tell you this, my son got committed to a top 20 D1 school about three weeks ago. We had already signed up for this so we went anyway. I thought my son played well but we never got contacted by any coaches! I guess my son getting committed was a fluke!!

They should have moved the event outdoors when it was obvious they could. A modified game is not a good showcase in my opinion.
