11 girls from 2021 are gone from last season ...curious why all the movement ...I guess we will see this season...go elevate!!

My daughters 2021 Evate team crushed TG black last summer and had some good games with YJ Blue. 2017 Elevate is better than TG black as well. My guess is Elevate has surpassed TG in many age groups - some just haven't played each other in several years.

2023 Elevate is a talented group I'm sure they'll be better than YJ or TG

Where'd they come from

I have very limit experience with Elevate but Ive seen them play and they seem to have a solid program. My daughter has played for another club For a few years. However, I wanted her to consider a change and so she attended the TE tryouts. I can tell you that they held the most organized tryouts I've ever seen. I was quite impressed. Although she was offered a spot on one of their blue teams but she decided to stay with her friends on the team she's been playing for. I was a little disappointed but I left the choice to her. I guess it was all for the best. I was hoping to escape the politics and crazy parents but I seems that there is no escaping. They are at every club, at every level and unfortunately you just have to deal with it, put on a fake smile, throw up a wave once in a while and pray that they don't feel the urge to come talk to you.

OK we get it. Elevate is the next great thing. The same person on here talking to him/her self. Please Come on and chat when your teams actually win something or have won something..........crickets...crickets

For the same reason the owner goes on the YJ thread promoting his second rate club. Keep telling yourself how competitive the Elevate teams are , at what age are they actually competitive .Your best age group 2017 placed behind the only two 2017 YJ teams in the same tournament and behind the only 2018 YJ team. The only time your 2016 team played YJ was in a 25 minute playoff game and the score was somewhere in the 10-0 range.Stop posting on other clubs threads and they will forget your club even exists.

Not looking to stir the pot, just curious. Does Team Elevate get an automatic bid to the U15 tournament this year? Or do they have to send a team to Delaware for the qualifier?

Team Elevate world is just fine, very happy. Most of the posts on these threads are from disgruntled people. Maybe that's why this thread is quiet. No news is good news.

One, for recruiting age kids he said they wont get a lot of visibility at tournaments as coaches will be watching top teams which they are not playing and two, they will go 4-0 each week and lose in the playoffs once they play a decent team? Why not play the top teams? They are playing the 2nd team or in some cases the 3rd team of some of the top teams. A little new to this - am I missing the strategy here?

- New England Cup: they are playing a mixed bag. Some A teams, some B teams.
- Lax for the Cure: this is a championship-style tournament, so they spread out the A teams in different divisions so they end up all meeting in the playoffs.
- Capital Cup: they are playing all A level teams.

I find nothing wrong with this schedule. They are in no "weak groupings". For their first tournament it looks like they are in more of an "A-" bracket, which I think is smart for their first tournament. LFTC I explained, and at Capital Cup they are facing excellent competition, like Heroes for example.

Coaches will be at the games regardless. Obviously you don't know how recruiting/scouting works. Coaches do not just show up to tournaments and only watch the best teams. They go with a spread sheet on specific GIRLS that they want to see. Often while watching those girls, they will also check out the whole team as well.

What this team suffers from the most is living up to their 2017 team. Their 2017's are very good and can play with ANY team in the country. After that, the teams drop off dramatically. This club has been riding their coat tails and using that team to market the program as if all other teams are at that level and they are NOT.

As for the 2018's - as an age group they are not a strong group, so much so that the director continues to move kids from the B team to the A team which does nothing towards building a cohesive team and has caused some kids to leave. I heard that one B kid just left for liberty. The B girls just want to figure out what to do to impress the right people and move up which doesn't contribute at all to team play. This also does nothing for the confidence of the A girls as I know these kids are always looking over their shoulder. I hope that this wont continue throughout the entire summer. My guess is this summer will turn off enough kids in this group and they will be down to one team in this age level but time will tell.

Is your daughter on our team? I doubt it. Go spend your energy elsewhere. My daughter plays 2018 red and is having a great time. Team sizes are fantastic, coaches are great and we are having fun while playing great lacrosse. Why don't you go stuff it and worry about yourself loser!

So, how would you rank the Elevate events from this weekend (in order of bad to worse). I am stuck, help me out!

1) All the losses to the YJ Teams
2) Director getting 2 yellow cards
3) The new amazing ILLIGEAL uniforms the parents paid for

Number one (losing to YJ is expected), number two has a very high probability based on past experience, number three is by far the worst as it would involve the incompetence of sooooo many people. The club designing them, the store they are working with and the manufacturer, all who should know the rules. So from bad to worse (1,2,3). Typical Elevate weekend. I guess the question is, what do you do about the uniforms now?

Half of the White team left,very watered down, and they use players from the Blue team at tournaments to fill the roster. Team Elevate is all about the money. They will be down to one team at 2018 level next year.

Just wondering why Elevate didn't compete this past weekend? All the top Maryland teams were there providing great competition. Many Colleges in attendance as well.

2021blue played down a division from yj skak ...got fat on weak teams ...made playoffs and got smoked by yj ...big difference from last year.

Get your facts straight. YJ Skak played in a lower division - they played 3 combined 21/22 teams in their pool games. Go back to your YJ site and keep your drama over there. We are very happy with our teams.

Team Elevate attended the IWLCA New England Cup at UMASS with the recruitable age girls and the younger teams went to Lax by the Sea in New Jersey.

Best team was lady roc 2017 - competition fell off quickly from there and lady roc 2018 is not very good. Don't take the bait. This is not an Elevate parent. It is someone form another club looking to stir up drama. The New England Cup was an IWLCA event and their were over 120 coaches there. At the recruitable ages, it is not about competition, it is about being seen and the TE girls were seen by plenty of coaches. That's what it is all about.

And that is the reason I left Elevate. He is only interested in his top team at each level and his daughters in particular. While I do believe he has a true love of lacrosse and loves teaching the kids, the bottom line is the lower level teams are just practice for his top team and he needs to make sure those kids get recruited or his club will not move along.

Actually the uniforms are illegal, if the officials decide to make issue of it in a game the opposing team gets a free possession one time at the beginning of the game. From what I saw at tournaments many teams' uniforms are illegal (including YJ), most because of the size of the side inserts.

From US Lacrosse 2016 rulebook: "Uniform trim is permitted on the collar, cuffs and waistband that may be of contrasting
colors, but not more than 1 inch wide. Side inserts (armpit to waistband) may be of
contrasting, multiple colors, but not more than 3 inches wide."

I would love to know if all these DK and Elevate bashers are a few of the same people posting, that have a personal vendetta, or is it that many unhappy people with the program.

We have had great experiences with Team Elevate and DK. If people have issues with DK they should address them with him, as we did when we had an issue. One thing people can't take away from him is that the girls have an top learning experience with DK. He really is great at training the girls. My two girls will be playing with TE again this spring/summer.

Can't be any worse than the gym they are using to run clinics these days. Imagine parents paying 50 bucks to have their kids practice lax on a hardwood floor? Don't forget elevate only takes cash!

That would be require removing just about every coach from the website since they all left except the parent coaches. Wait until this summer. The only non parent coaches will be some 2016 kids who just graduated. While they have played lax, they have never coached before. I think at that point, the parent coaches will look like stars!

Sunday clinic was not on a hardwood floor so not sure where you are getting your misinformation?

Clinic was well run only gripe was significant gap in age and ability. The kids all had fun and isn't that what this is about?

Most certainly was on a basketball court. Look at the pictures on twitter that Elevate posts. The kids are playing lax on a Bball court. How far have they fallen?

Dave sleeps very comfortably, thank you...knowing that your check cleared and all the others are safely in his bank account gives him peace of mind...

Thought I would share some facts...in the past week my daughter will has had the opportunity to participate in the following TE events:

90 min practice
3 day clinic (yes on hardwood floors) for younger players
90 min practice
90 min practice

Older kids can also participate in an additional advanced training session.

That seems like a lot of activity for one week.

OK - so from November until last week Elevate did nothing in the off season and last week they ran a lot of stuff. Figure it out! They were shut out off all indoor space (even the gym floor) until everyone's indoor time expired at the HUB and other venues and now they are trying to make up all that lost money they used to make in past years. Now that its time to go outside they are trying to squeeze what they can out of you. Save your "cash at the door" and go outside and have a catch with your daughter.

Very true. We left last year after my daughter stopped believing all the heart felt speeches, motivational clichés, (how many times can you say hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard)? I mean really...... When my 13 year old catches onto the BS, its time to go. Its cute for the little ones for a little while but that's about it. Go to YJ, TG, Icon, fl$, etc. the list goes on. Don't buy into the marketing, facebook, emails, quotes, etc.

He provides a service and you pay for it because you perceive value. Isn't that what all these travel programs do???? Some have great margin than others because the market supports. Not a big fan of said individual, but enough already...

Anyone who needs the schedule just email her instead of coming on an anonymous site. I guarantee most of these people are either not on TE or made the B team and are bitter.

We are not bitter for being on the B team but for the money we are paying we would like a response. I also know A team girls attended a tournament which we weren't invited to. If it's as bad as you say, why on earth would you spend another year? Did you really think it would turn around or were you promised something more? Sounds like you are Ok being on B team and right now you could practically walk on a number of other clubs, just call around.

Are other clubs still taking kids. Have a 2020 and a 2022. The 2022 hasn't started yet but will go wherever my 2020 goes this year or next after we leave Elevate. They are both low A high B level players. We just want to find a club where they are happy and there is little or no BS. Cant listen to the directors at Elevate any more. The whole thing wears thin very quickly. What clubs would you recommend? Which ones are still taking kids for the summer? Thanks for your help.

I know the YJ are still looking for girls at 2022.. its the third team, but you'll get a chance to move up to a more appropriate team at tryouts after the summer.. the good thing is she still young enough to play for fun this year. This team in particulat are made up of TG old white, those who didn't make '91, and Elevate former white. My daughter is not looking to play in college, shes on team to keep fit. I listen like a fly on the wall to parents who know it all, its amusing.

Not a stupid question. I know 3 or 4 girls went to Top Guns and another 4 or 5 went to Liberty. Based on the conversations I have had with the few who stayed, we are quite pleased with our decision to move on. Our daughter had a great off-season with the team she elected to move to and had a lot of opportunities this winter that she otherwise would not have had this year if she had stayed at Elevate. Most people know when its time to move on.

You know what's funny about this and it's no way a knock but a bunch of Liberty and TG girls left last season for similar reasons and probably feel they made the right decision as well! I guess for every three of four that leave there are three or four ready to take their spot.

If you look at what club your daughter should play if your daughter wants to play in college. Just visit the club websites. Look at the 2018s for instance as that would be a good sign of where that club is at today. Making money is true for any business. I would hope that most directors are proud of their athletes and their accomplishments. Just because they get paid doesn't mean they don't care as many imply. You couldn't pay me enough to deal with all the aggravation that directors must deal with on a daily basis. Any relationship of 4 to 7 years has to be rewarding to watch as these athletes learn the game and compete over the years.

I will tell you one thing, having the relationship for 4-7 is even more rewarding when you do it for free.

And Mr. K had quite a first season at trinity this year. He managed to go 0-10 in the conference all while getting ejected from a game. Quite the role model. At least he will have free fields to make money for Elevate.

I saw his act on sidelines at a league game....amazed he wasn't bounced from game I saw..refs will get tired of his petulant style while questioning every call and misstep...but hey, I am sure Holy Trinity will have the college bus tour and nicest tents at their games...

My daughter is on his A 2021 team and I for one would love for this guy to coach that team. He would make a difference. He knows the game.

Being coached the right way. Putting in some offensive sets and working the ball as a team. I think he would bring that to the team. And it does seem when he is around the girls they work harder. My daughter loves him and it turn she would give him her best.

This is my second year. And i will not go anywhere unless my daughter is cut. I'm one of those fathers who doesn't feel winning is everything, and that we have to beat all these top teams to feel like my daughter is any good.The team is solid and my daughter likes the girls and is having a great experience. Not only in lacrosse but more importantly in life by making new friends.

Only 4 left last year. Grabbed some real solid players in place of.

Um, not Dave and I don't have a daughter that plays for him, yet, but i do know him. His financial employment background has zero to do with his lacrosse teaching abilities. Perhaps he has found his calling. Additionally, I would love to set up a charity face to face between you and he somewhere that we could sell tickets to and have a ref. You could bring your list of cowardly posts and share them with him directly then maybe have a wrestling match or spar for a few mins. I think we could raise a lot of money for a good cause. I read a lot of these posts mostly for the humor but I have never read anyone questioning his lacrosse teaching or coaching abilities? The majority seem to be how he runs his program and possible integrity questions. For whatever reason you have to admit this guy gets destroyed on here. But since you went public and I assume you are the same person as the president of the CSH youth lacrosse program is this the travel program you would recommend to parents if asked?

I would attest to his ability to teach and his passion to do so. I would advise you or anyone else to look around and decide on your own considering location, how much or how little year round practice do you want and what your daughters goals are for playing to be the best or on the best, to play with friends or to play competitively and to develop and I'm sure most will find the right fit. I have not personally walked that path on the girls side yet and I do not profess to know all or what is right for everybody. On the boys side there are pros and cons to almost all the programs out there. At the end of the day you are the customer of a for profit business. if you don;t like the product, take your business elsewhere.

I don't play for this club so I can't offer any insight but just reading the pages and pages of hate towards this guy it is a head scratcher. No other club or club director on LI seems to elicit the same emotional response. If you believe the pages and pages of posts it would seem this club has or had many unhappy people but my bigger fear would be is how is this club perceived by college coaches and the broader lax community outside of LI?

I have nothing to gain or lose if your daughter plays for elevate my daughter is now in college and I wish I listened to others and stayed away from elevate there are several legitimate teams in Long Island that there is no reason to choose elevate most of the things I have read on this post about coach k are true I didn't believe all the negatives when my daughter was young but they proved to be true.

My daughter played for elevate too. We also went there despite warnings from others. It was a bad decision and I would never recommend DK and his program to anyone. I agree that all the things said about DK are true. He' may know kacrosse, but he's no role model. I could say worse about him, but won't. Thankfully, a move to another program worked out for my daughter and she'll be playing D1 college lacrosse.

Basically I read these posts for pure entertainment and truly, that is what they are. The negative commentators all seem to come from the same mold, that their “A” player got sent to “B” team or their “B” player got sent to “C” team, etc…
Most people that are happy with a program will not make any comments for the simple reason is that they are content with their situation and can really care less for what you negative commentators have to say, which for the most part, is the right thing to do.
Until today, I have never commented on a single thread but for some reason I feel it’s necessary to put a few things into perspective.
1. These are pay to play/be on a team – therefore, for PROFIT – stop pretending that Elevate is the only FOR PROFIT program – you can’t be that dumb, can you???
2. As far as programs go and from what I have compared via my own due diligence, Elevate seems to be in the same monetary ballpark as other competitive lacrosse programs
3. Other than PAL, do nonprofit club programs exist
4. The extra training sessions at Elevate are OPTIONAL, maybe you missed that in an email – OPTIONAL training means, you do not have to attend it if you do not want too, making it no additional charge for you
5. As for OPTIONAL training sessions, not once have I ever felt pressure that my daughter needed to attend them but my wife and I only saw them as an opportunity for our daughter to get better and hopefully learn something new, be it lacrosse or a life lesson – some of my best life lessons were learned on the practice field and I am thinking for some of you negative commenters, you never had those opportunities
6. And as far as OPTIONAL training sessions go, I have driven my daughter to many of them, and the constant thing I have noticed was no matter how many girls showed up, be it 75 or 5, the training sessions still went on. If Elevate was run purely for profit, I would imagine the low attendance sessions would have been cancelled and other than weather related issues, I do not recall one being cancelled for low turnout. But guess who was there, probably losing money or at the very least, breaking even on that indoor space, that’s right boys and girls, Coach DK. This is not to paint DK/Elevate as the all high and all mighty but to prove a point to you negative commentators that he actually does care about making these girls better players and it’s not just the money.
7. I am 100% positive that there are other great programs out there like Elevate but with any purchase in life, caveat emptor Greg Brady. I cannot sit here and tell you that it’s been absolutely fantastic at Elevate, but can you show me a travel sports program that is 100% without incident.
8. Mind you that these are 13 & 14 year old girls we are talking about. I know one thing for certain, their skills and development will continue to mature over these next few years and yes, some girls abilities will leap other another’s, just the facts of life.
9. Again, I will agree, Elevate is not perfect, coaching issues, movement among A & B teams, maybe some political BS but these are issues “EVERY” club team will have. Please at least admit that, you can’t be that naïve!!!
10. Elevate and DK has been a very positive experience for my daughter, she is learning the game, life lessons and most importantly, having a great time playing the sport she loves.

From the tone of these posts, my guess it’s the same handful of negative commentators that continue to write about their unfortunate experiences with Elevate and Coach DK. Maybe, just maybe it was you that got kicked off your daughters Elevate team.
Look I get it, we had an uneventful season and one ridiculous experience the first year we played for YJ many years ago. But I never thought it was appropriate to go onto a website and absolutely bash the YJ program because of our experience. If someone asked me for my thoughts, I would offer them, but what makes you few negative commentators so special that you feel you can anonymously (cowardly if you ask me) go onto this thread and day in and day out bash the Elevate program.

It is truly time for you to move on with your life and stop bashing the Elevate program. I am sure, Elevate, along with ALL travel programs will have some unfortunate incidents that will leave a bitter taste for many to swallow, especially when it affects our children feelings and well-being but at some point, it you the ADULT that needs to grow up.

Just want to understand if there any other motivation that the president of the CSH youth league decides to come to his defense? It would also appear that some of the CSH PAL coaches are current Team Elevate paid coaches including the CSH girls program director?

The person making this lengthy statement above is the most naïve individual there is. First of all, NOBODY gets cut or asked to leave by Elevate, I have never heard that once from anybody. If you want to pay them, they WILL take your money. When only 5 girls show up to training DK is there to coach. DUHHHH of course he is going to be there to coach otherwise he would have to PAY somebody else to be there and he would make zero money on those sessions. WAKE UP! That assumes he would actually pay the coach which he has a very deep reputation for NOT paying his coach and staff, the reason all his coaches and admin staff left last year. That is why you will see even MORE PARENT COACHES this summer, they don't get paid. Also why do you think he was running those winter sessions in a gym and not at SportsHub? Yes there are new owners, (so why was liberty running everything out of there) he was asked to leave because they don't want to do business with him. That is something you will hear from a large majority of the lax community. The bridges he has burned in that community are too many to count! Can only hope that one day you will see the light along with all the others that have realized the errors (of which there are way too many) of his ways!

My daughter plays for Elevate. There are things I really like about the club and DK, and things I really don't like. So I am somewhat neutral. My daughter will be playing D1 in college so it has nothing to do with that. My only comment is that YES, individuals have been asked to leave the club for behavioral issues, if the parents are overly difficult etc. So to say that no one has ever left is just plain wrong. I sat in my car one day and witnessed the conversation myself between DK and the family. So get your facts straight. They were asked to leave for repeated displays of poor sportsmanship and not supporting teammates in a positive manner.

If true, and I have no reason to doubt you, I have to give the guy credit for doing that. We have all been around people that should be asked to leave! And maybe those individuals do have an axe to grind and on here posting trash?

Again, whether one be a DK admirer/supporter or DK hater/detractor, you will be hard pressed to find ANY Travel Lax director who elicits so much emotion from both sides. I think its fair to say that not ALL of the detractors are nasty, evil or "vile" people who want to take him down. Elevate doesn't have 3 teams at any level anymore. There are two teams. The "better" team is coached by 2 parent coaches and the "2nd" team is coached by one parent coach. Don't you see them at practice?

First of all, there are only 2 teams so there are only 2 colors - not 3..... what are you a YJ parent? The top Team is BLUE and the 2nd Team is RED. The coaches are parents as it is stated above. They are parent PAL coaches, what more do you want, their SSNs?

Here is a little advice you should take action on ASAP. There are no room blocks at least none that we heard of from the club. We have 2 kids and emailed DK and VK and never heard anything. So, I asked others and everyone is doing their own thing. Some parents on one of my daughters teams are coordinating something but the other I just booked. Its very late in the game so book something ASAP and good luck. This our 2nd year on Elevate and the difference in communication and coordination is dramatically less. Last year we knew everything that was going on about our team. Not sure what is going on, maybe somebody in the know can give better guidance. That said, good luck and start looking now.

So, how would you rank the Elevate events from this weekend (in order of bad to worse). I am stuck, help me out!

1) All the losses to the YJ Teams
2) Director getting 2 yellow cards
3) The new amazing ILLIGEAL uniforms the parents paid for

Boy, you people have conspiracy theories a plenty. In my experience with my kids, parent coaches have all been excellent and if anything, their kids are slightly persecuted as a result of being the sons or daughter of the coach to ensure they were not perceived as biased. In not every case the coaches kid was one of the best on the field--why, its what they are into and they spend the time with their kid enjoyably when away from the team practice. I understand some parent coaches may not behave that way, but there are plenty that do and I thank them.

But do you really want them coaching your daughters travel lax team?

I want someone with real experience and more importantly connections and the ability to help us navigate the right path for my child.

What club did you move to?

We and several others moved to TG. What a difference. I know others left for Liberty and they seem quite happy there as well. The entire experience for us has just been so positive, something we cant say about Elevate.

Weren't good enough for one of YJ 8 teams?

Elevate has THE BEST group of parents around. No politics, no BS. Our girls have more fun than any club around. We may not always win but there is more to life and lacrosse than winning. Alot of life lessons have been learned under DK. All of them invaluable to our daughters. He is more than a coach to our girls. How many YJ can say that

Almost everybody beat that M&D team last fall. That was realistically an M&D red team with a handful of uncommitted black players.

My guess would be NO because last time Elevate went up there they beat every team in every age group by 10 goals so I would doubt they would send teams back to a non competitive tournament. I doubt they would want to waste parents money and kids time with playing in such an event. I am not sure what anyone, even the club gets out of that. Well, maybe some pictures for their website and Facebook.

With that said, the 2018s and 2019s played in the weakest tournament in MD this weekend. I don't think either team won a game by less than 10 goals. Again, I have no clue why parents would spend money and time to even do that especially this time of year when kids in 9th and 10th grade have AP and Regents? So, while I doubt they would attend that New England tournament who knows.

We beat up on the top teams in MD this weekend. If Elevate is so much better than the top teams we are facing there isn't much we can do about that. The 2019 team will beat up on just about any club we face this summer.

Which tournament did Elevate play in? I looked at the Mid-Atlantic Showcase schedule and they're not listed. That's where all the good teams were...where was Elevate?

Elevate went to the Summer Classic. NO top teams there. NONE. Most are unrecognizable. All the good teams went to McDonogh for the Mid-Atlantic. Way to go,Elevate.

Really? Last year that team played the championship game at Neylat against the Jester United team. ANd they used their goalie from the 2021 team. They nearly got beat! Elevate won by cheating. Call it what you will

Saw the YJ Russell 2022 team play this weekend. They looked good for the 1st time out this year. They gave M&D 22 Black and Hero's 22 Green
all they could handle.

After dominating the tough teams down in MD two weeks ago - Elevate 2018 blue played an even tougher New England Cup schedule. Unfortunately - the results were not the same as the prior weekend. They ended up losing to an outstanding SoundCrosse 2018 team and tying a tough MassElite 2018 red Team. They have a little time before Lax-For-A-Cure - they should be able to fix all those little issues and will be ready for the MD teams again.

I looked at the Elevate schedule and in almost all age groups they have managed to avoid most tournaments where we they will play top teams (MD, YJ, TG, Capitol, Integrity, SkyW, etc.). Maybe a game here or there but they have avoided the top clubs by not being at the same tourney or playing at a lower level. Maybe its best for the Elevate kids. There are a couple of games but not many.

Why, who did the 18's play this weekend (TG Black, Integrity, Skywalker, Heros, YJ, M&D, TLC)? How did they do against those teams? The second 2018 team I heard is not good this year. My friends daughter joined this year and said the team, coaching, etc. has dropped off dramatically. He saw them play last year and then decided to join based on that but he said most of the girls on that team left. He said they have barely won a game against mediocre teams through 2 tournaments. May be a lonngggg summer for them!

Got to see the elevate 2020 team play at ND this weekend. I really expected more from them after playing them last year - they seemed to drop off quite a bit. Did they lose alot of girls from last year? Seemed like they didn't quite play as a team. They barely snuck out with 2 wins this weekend against mediocre teams. The top gun team from long island was very impressive in this age group.

Stop you are stirring the pot. You are not an elevate parent. Director would not blow you off with a vague response. DK is dedicated to the girls.

It's a shame the 2021 YJ team will probably not make it out of their bracket this weekend. Was looking forward to a matchup this summer.

You may be correct, this is the most competitive collection of teams I have ever seen in a bracket at any tournament for this age group, ever. What ever team wins this bracket has a cakewalk through playoffs. Most likely winner would be M&D black, but there are several teams that could make some noise, certainly YJ. If your trying to put elevate 2021 anywhere near the level of the teams in this bracket, you are delusional.

I would hope YJ would be one of the teams that make the playoffs but certainly wouldn't slight the other talented teams in this bracket. It's all about constantly getting better. Best of luck to all and safe travels.

I will be shocked if Elevate wins their Division. Heros and NEMS are very good teams. TLC could give Elevate trouble as well. Best case for Elevate is 2-2 in my opinion.

Obviously this poster has no Idea what there talking about. YJ didn't even make it out of the bracket (add excuse here) and Elevate went 1-3, and I ask who is the worst of the 2, at least Elevate is a newer, growing club, but the "ELITE" not even movie int the playoffs in that bracket, and no "ELITE" team getting past the first round doesn't bode well for that club. No champs in any bracket under '19. Maybe we L.I. laxers should start caring more about every girl as opposed to pounding our chest about the clubs she plays for?

For all the smack talk coming from the mighty Skak team they sure seem broken and unable to compete with any of the top MD clubs? What's even sadder is 10 kids probably never saw the field and even the "studs" can't get it done anymore. This is exactly why people are leaving and willing to take a chance with startups. You can knock other programs but our kids had fun and everyone played equally.

You Elevate parents are the worst. What is your obsession with YJ Skak? You went 1-3 after coming on here saying you were going to win your Division. 2 of the games weren't even close. Worry about your own team instead of putting down one of the best teams at this age. They are 13 year old girls.

The girls that left knew they were in for a challenge, unlike TE they weren't afraid of a little competition.

They paid the deposit but never paid the rest so they were removed from the schedule last minute. They were given every opportunity to pay and did not return emails.

So I saw this thread last week but did not want to comment until I was able to gather some facts which I did this weekend in Virginia. My daughter was on Elevate 2018 Red last year and this season we and others from the Red team left for Top Guns. I stopped by to see the combined 2017/18 Elevate team play this weekend at Capital Cup. There are few girls if any 2018 kids left from last years Red team. They have the same parent coach that we had last year (so Elevate does have parent coaches), I am surprised he has stuck it out this long. I only recognized 2 parents from last years 2018 Red team and they both seem very frustrated with the summer season. One told me that the 2018 Red team started to collapse about 2 tournaments ago so they folded them into the 2017/2018 combined team. That combined team had very few girls and each week and kids from other teams would just fill in. Neither of the 2018 parents I spoke to will be returning next year. I also saw a parent of a 202 Elevate kid playing on the 2017/18 team in Virginia - that probably reflects how desperate this team was to get kids this season. There is no possible way Elevate will have enough kids to field a 2nd 2018 team next year. The only big clubs on LI that will have 2 teams in the 2018 age group next year will be YJ, TG and Liberty. I told them that TG will have a few spots on their purple team as a few kids will not be coming back. I sort of felt bad for the parents that spent so much money to go to VA with this half baked team of kids who haven't played together much of the summer.

The 2018 Red team and 2017/18 team used 2019 and 202 kids all summer long. BAFFLES ME how parents pay that much money and Elevate is not cheap to play with a group of kids that can barely form a team and aren't really committed to being there.
