So Legacy is having more tryouts. They disbanded Legacy Carnage because not enough players and now they are having tryouts for other grades, but not 9th. What gives?

They do not care about the 9th grade or above. There is no money to be made and caring more about the younger age groups gives them a better chance of them coming back year after year until the end.

Correct. Thats why they offer free K1 clinics. Hoping to grab them while they are young and create a perpetual bankroll. Not a bad strategy. Paying for travel lacrosse for 10 years is another story.
Thanks for your answers. Makes sense now, unfortunately. Sad for the boys who are stuck without a team now.

if your kid is stuck without a team, it's not Legacy's fault it's your own. There are TONS of teams. Are you telling us your child made no other team?

Should call 91, they had winter tryouts for 2018's, they may still need guys there.

HS ages is tough, my son was on the team that they folded and they didn't want to string us along and hope to find kids. I commend them for cutting us loose and giving us the option to go somewhere else.

But aren't or weren't most teams already done with selections. Teams looking at this point are usually weak or players moved on to greener pastures.
