This thread will be used for discussions, news, and analysis of the Boys 2020 graduation year programs during the Fall 2012/Spring 2013 seasonal year.
Will the Orange teams from Express or 91 take any new players from the tryouts? Doubtful that there will be much change from last year, as both groups feel that there's no need. Maybe a random recruit.
Where are some of the top 2020 teams playing next summer? What tourneys?

CageSage, it would be great if you could start a discussion about class of 2022. I know the kids are young but it would be helpful to parents who are thinking of having their son join a club team to understand which clubs have teams that year, etc. Thank you.

It looks like there are 3 different tournaments in Jersey on July 13/14.
While Tristate has always been the main draw, if you look at the current teams registered for its U11 bracket; it looks like it will be worse for the 2020 teams than the Laxfest just was. Lopsided games will be inevitable.
The 2020 91 Orange team is in there with 2021 teams, and the better Jersey teams are in the other tournaments that weekend.

That is not good at all. No A or B bracket again? Are you referring to Crush playing there? They usually play up- so it would surprise me if they were playing 4th gr teams.
Wow tough call. The next level up has a grade component at an "AA" level which would be fine for Crush; its just playing against teams like 91 Orange 2019 and express 2019 Wolv (been there done that - why aren't they in that division). Or they could take there chance in u13, and play some rising 8th grade teams.
But the schedule is out & currently they are in fact in a division with 4th grade teams ( in particular Jesters and Igloo).
May wind up to be a waste of time. Enjoy the traffic

2020 Crush in U13 ??? Are you on crack ?? Someone will get hurt for sure. Stay in U11 where they belong. I hope Igloo kids their butts..

What a joke the Tri-State U-11 bracket is going to be.
The average margin of victory for the 2020 91 Orange team will be around 20.
They will be playing 2021 teams. The only L.I. 2020 team that is registered is the Jesters, and they are a low B team.
Are all their players U 11 eligible ? That is the question. If they are so be it .
You mine as well stay home then. You know the final scores and the "official" rankings of all teams playing. No sense playing the games!
Lacrosse parents are great!
What happened to challenging our kids and wanting to play the best competition? I think it is great that tournaments like this one mix teams and you play teams from different states and skill levels. It teaches the kids what it takes to be good. It isn't about winning all of the time.
Please stop with the want to play teams from other states and be challenged nonsense. All of these tournaments provide that now if you are in the A bracket.
When 91 Orange or Looneys 2020 play a 2021 team in Tri-State, let us know how fun it is to be "challenged".
Of course you want to challenge your players to get them to improve, but neither team benefits when it's a mismatch.
There are teams that have entered themselves in the "B" bracket all summer that are in the u-11 bracket with "a" 2020 teams.
Any updates from the legacy tourney in Boston for 2020?
interesting results this weekend:
-summer sizzle: li express 2020 terps over rochester flyers 6-2 in final
-tristate: 91 crush over looneys 2020 orange 6 to 3 in final
-hershey: orange crush (upstate ny) won easily
What's so interesting about that?
Does anyone know who won the 5th Grade Divisions at the New Jersey Shootout???
Who are the top 10 clubs nationally at 2020 if there were rankings?
Who are the top 10 clubs nationally at 2020 if there were rankings?
You are kidding? Right?

Unfortunately, he or she probably isn't kidding. This sounds like a parent of a kid on a team that is very good. It gives them a sense of satisfaction that there 10 or 11(or 12 on many teams) year old is on a top team.
Its the proverbial living vicariously through their kid demon, that is continuing to rear its ugly head in our sport.
I'd be curious to know everyone's opinion only so we know the better tournaments to play in if we want to play the best competition. Obviosuly 91, express, but are there others that are doing a nice job too? NJ, Upstate clubs, etc.
TO the person that asked this question if you really care, please compile all scores of all teams across the country.. or just pick a region... once you have completed that.. please research the "Elo Ratings System" and make your rankings.. Get back to us when you are done. NOT BEFORE! Thanks.
Not a parent of but I can not believe there is a 2020 better then 91 "Crush" I saw them play this past weekend and they are very very good.

Currently. Yes.
Looney's gave them a good game last weekend. As teams grow and develop they will have much more competition in this age bracket. Let's not forget, they are only 10/11 years old.
Are any 2020 clubs going to Tampa in December for the dicks tournament of champions?
