I’m assuming this is for the 23s. I’m right there with you except I think Copper over Elite by 2
What is up with that Skywalkers coach openly gloating about his defender scoring a goal for all to hear across both fields at GFS? Embarrassing.

Who cares?
Anyone know why HOCO plays all their games at Western Reg? They never have to travel. It’s a big pain to travel out to western Howard County to play at 6 or 7 PM on a Sunday night.

it's a conspiracy against your team.
Why, traffic should be light then?
So how can we start talking about the best club/ organization for your girl?
What do you look for in a club? What makes you stay away?

I will say that the pros for a club are
competitiveness,
coaching QUALITY (not just warm bodies thrown in ),
access to specialty coaching at regular practices and not an add-on clinic, workouts,
winter training of quality,
responsiveness to general parent concerns or questions
Ability for your girls to play other sports

Some of the cons would be:
overstocking teams (obvious money grab),
Worries about cutting girls from a team because of upsetting parents,
Overall complacency in coaching and admin because you know there are not other options for the players in your area.
Non-responsiveness to parental concerns or questions.
No general emails from coaches about how the season is going.

All of these have happened! We are living through this right now.
Just FYI it’s not always the Clubs fault! A lot of times it’s the players/parents who are the problem. Parents often expect to much from the clubs who are usually only coaching the girls for two hours a week six mo this out the year at practice. Practice is where players are developed for the most part. If your child is getting equal opportunity in the drills there performing at practice she’s getting equal opportunity as everyone else and the coaches are makes decision from what they see during the practice. If your looking for equal playing time in different positions then go join your local rec team. Also players develop different great player at ten doesn’t mean great player at sixteen which can be a bitter pill to swallow so we blame the “money grabbing clubs” who are probably doing a great job. But you probably don’t want to hear it’s your/daughter fault so go on with the blame game.
ahh....back to anonymous posting. what a country!
