I attended with my son (Maryland 2017 commit), and the level of play was excellent. Plenty of notice for multiple try outs on LI, PA, and MD. Certainly not every great player was on the roster, but the game was well played. Calling it a scam or a money grab is rediculous. Cost was $250, and the players all received a custom R helmet, shorts, actual jersey, shooting shirt and socks. Correct on no recruiting, but just a fun event away from the pressures of coaches on the sidelines. I predict a stronger roster next year and that this event will take hold.
Ancient history, nobody cares about this. Fabricated event for no real reason other than $. Watch the cost skyrocket if they can get it. Low price this year because they were desperate to fill the roster. Many didn't tryout or pay.
