For the tryout fee, one of the founders is sending out an email to all who signed up to make sure they are trying out still. If they don't and want to give up the spot for someone on the waiting list, please let them know. By the way, the $125 you paid to tryout IS NOT REFUNDED! Seems to be a very good "Not for Profit". You can look them up to see how much they made, as a designeated and approved Not for Profit. Made at least mid 6 figures!
$125.00 for someone to look at your kid at a tryout? That is the highest pricing that we have seen reported to BOTC. At some point, you have to decide what constitutes value-for-money at these tryouts and you, the people who are consumers for this market, will control the pricing by supporting clubs that offer a price point that is acceptable.
Remember that not-for-profit is a tax filing status, not a statement that money is not being made.
