Coppermine has been the best 2028 team in the country for some time. Well-coached, skilled, and disciplined team. No affiliation, but my DD's team has played them several times (along with the others in the top 5), and Coppermine has been the best. Check the records from the summer and fall tournament seasons. They play hard, but fair. Impressive group. New season, and I get the respect for M&D as defending champs, but Coppermine deserves the respect they have earned.
M&D beat Coppermine in the NGLL mid Atlantic championship last year, so they are also well coached and will be there in the end again. Coppermine is a good team but they aren’t an automatic lock for the NGLL championship
