Wild because this time last year, NEMS would be in brainer favorites here.

SW has a chance to make a statement if they can win in dominant fashion. SW could be the 5h best team by end of summer in Mid Atlantic, and could make a push for 3rd (This implies BLC no longer in that ranking and they get some more talent).

Still a big gap between BLC and SW. Although the gap isn't as big as it used to be.

The talent that SW added are kids cut from Hero's. Although they are still better than what was there.

The one girl was not cut. They left for personal reasons. They also added some talent from other teams.

Personal reasons meaning not related to coaching staff. Huge pickup for SW-- her leadership alone transformed that defense from one of the worst at A level to at least average.

Let's be honest, SW didn't really play anyone in Fall, so very hard to even make that comment.

Their hardest team was Philly Blast #22, and Limitless, #27.

The following 2 things can be true

1) SW can be significantly improved, especially on defense
2) They still aren't a top 20 team.

Keep in mind this was a team that last summer this team lost to Atlanta Storm, Next Level, CavLax and NEMS and tied Phantastix. Their best win last year was YJ North.

Last year, this team wouldn't have come close to beating those two teams.

Correct, but if you wanna talk about how a player "transformed a defense through leadership" (really?) you might want to see how they play against teams that are in top-20.

If you saw the starting point of the old defense, you would understand. Simply marking up was a challenge and pick and roll defense was non existent.
