Just deal with the fact 91 and Express always have the ability to improve by attracting out state talent. It’s a travel team so no issue. If I recall correctly 91 started this trend with the 91 Extreme team when Owen Caputo played with them.

I don’t think anyone has a problem with it if these out of state kids attend every or most practices. But when you have kids fly up from Florida that just play in tournaments…….you start to get some angry parents. 91 did this because their team just wasn’t that good. They could no longer atttract Long Island talent because they all went to express.

So the point is tri state kids that make the car ride to practice vs kids from states that require flying and just fly in for tourneys. I am not in that situation, but would likely be unhappy with that. But that is how these teams get better after about 6th or 7th grade. Kinda nuts, but so is youth sports.
