The MD Privates do have an age rule and it is similar. It does mostly get enforced.

There is at least one school that had a number of D1 recruits last year, as Juniors. But those same kids are ineligible this year as seniors because they are now too old for the league.

The only reason it is enforced now is due to so many double holdbacks in MIAA. Years ago, it was turned a blind eye to the double holdback as there were so few. Now with single holdback explosion, more are going the double holdback. Still isnt that many doubles,
