Says the guy posting here on BOTC…. College Coaches, especially the coaches at the best college programs (Men’s & Women’s) want the best athletes that they can get. Coaches at the top programs could care less about what other sports a kid plays or does not play, they want athletes who can keep pace. Very few HS players will be recruited by Top 10 - 20 programs if they lack a certain level of general athleticism, speed, quickness, strength etc…
And BTW, the vast majority of those Top 10 - 20 programs are excellent academic institutions that will help the student athletes prepare for life after college.

Are the majority that are recruited by the top programs actually “on age”? Or, have they had 1,2 or 3 extra years to develop the “general athleticism”? Just curious. Let’s take a look at the top recruits going into the top programs and see if we can figure out how many are actually “on age”? So, is it more important to be a multi sport athlete or multi year with more time to develop?
