Agree you need to be top ten at your position to go to Yale. Harvard has reached down further historically, but that is probably changing with new coach.
You don’t have to be top ten at your spot to go to service academy. Some in that upper echelon may choose to go that route. However, academies reach down much further. They have to as that life is not appropriate for most lax bros out there. Many/most recruits already required to spend a year at the prep school in order to be accepted. A lot of kids also “commit” to an academy and then use it as leverage to flip elsewhere. |
