Agreed about practices. However, the kid has to play...for game situation experience, exposure if they want to get recruited, and most importantly for the fun of it and confidence factors. Nevermind getting your moneys worth travelling to Maryland and actually watching them play!!!



The kid can get great practices on the travel club, and then start on their high school team and go to showcases with their high school team. The high school coach will promote the kid more than the club.


Vast majority of players get recruited from club not high school teams. Unless you kid is playing in the top 15 high schools in the nation, club is their best opportunity.
